POOL TIME!

I took the kids swimming in our pool and they had a blast but they really wished Daddy was there. So, when Geoff got home from work yesterday we all went to the pool. It was still warm outside so it was perfect! The kids had so much fun with Geoff there!

Aedan brought some cars to the pool with him so Geoff told them they should play a game. They drop the cars into the pool and he dives for them. They got a huge kick out of it. Sometimes he'd some up and say "Oh no! I can't find them!" so they'd look for them and point "there they are!" and he'd dive again and find them. Cali's face was funny while she watched.

A MOVIE AND A FIRE TRUCK

We took the kids to see CARS2. Aedan was SOOO excited to see it! He had been asking to see it  for months and it was finally out so we took him that night. He loved it!! Cali got a little antsy at the end because she was thirsty but she liked it too. Geoff and I thought it was entertaining and funny.

After we got out of the movie, we saw a fire truck. The firemen were totally missing but the truck was there and Aedan was so excited! He'd never seen one so close before. So, he posed in front of it.

CARS2 PHOTOS

I finally got the pictures from the CARS2 TOUR!! I'm so glad I brought my camera. :) These are cute but in the one with Lightning McQueen Geoff is trying to get them to look at the camera. Haha! :) 

Anyway... I just thought I'd share the pictures.

CARS2 TOUR

We had a big surprise for Aedan yesterday! CARS2 teamed up with State Farm to do a CARS2 tour. They had life size CARS characters  touring all over the country. It was in LA yesterday for 1 day so Geoff got off work a little early and we drove out to LA to see it. It was pretty cool to see Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile and have our pictures taken with them. They took pictures for us and once they upload them to the site we get to have them for free which I thought was pretty cool. I brought my camera though, of course, and got some pictures.

Aedan was super excited when he saw the cars and wanted to run right up to them but we had to wait in a line. It wasn't too bad. They had State Farm employees all over giving the kids CARS tattoos and the line moved pretty quickly considering how many people were there. They handed out CARS keychains and magnets to the kids and had posters you could take pictures with. 

After we were through the line Aedan was pretty bummed that he couldn't sit inside Lighting McQueen. Seriously bummed! He did think it was pretty cool to see them though. He is a HUGE CARS fan!!

I totally forgot to hop into the pictures for the official photos which was lame but I was too busy making sure I got ones on my camera. So, afterwards Geoff wanted to make sure I got a picture. Aedan was bummed about not being able to sit inside McQueen so he wouldn't take a picture with me but Cali did...

PUT 'EM UP!

The kids are addicted to the ipad2! Geoff leaves it home for us to use in case they want to and they usually do. There are movies, games and netflix all at the tips of their fingers and they navigate that thing better than I do! :) 

Geoff came home Tuesday and they wanted the it when he had it. He said no (in his pretend mean daddy voice) and they started "fighting" him for it. The kids can get some pretty serious faces while they are play fighting. I guess it takes some concentration. They were cracking up too though. They love play time with Daddy. :)

DIRTY!

When my kids play outside... they do it right! :)

How on earth does Cali get sooo DIRTY when she plays? Every time she has to have a bath afterwards because she's got dirt all over her face, hands, ect. Then there's her clothes that are usually pretty dirty too. Aedan can get pretty dirty too but he's a boy so that's expected. It was warm outside on Tuesday so they got dirty and sweaty. Good thing it was bath night!

BROWN SANDALS

I have gone crazy buying sandals for Cali this summer! They have such cute ones at such great prices (my favorite!). It's so fun to dress a little girl!
So, yesterday she wore a cute little dress with some new sandals (and of course she had to take her purse along)...

FATHER'S DAY

Aedan and I went shopping together for Father's Day. We went during Cali's nap so it was just us two. He loved picking out things to get Daddy for and helped pick out a gift for Grandpa too.

Yesterday morning we woke up and I got the kids and (loudly so Geoff would hear and stay in bed) asked them if they wanted to make Daddy breakfast in bed. They thought it was a great idea! They helped make pancakes and eggs and we brought it to him in bed with his cards and presents.

Aedan really wanted to give Geoff cars for Father's Day. I guess he loves cars so much that he thought it would be the perfect present for Daddy. :) It took him forever to pick which cars to give him. He stood there looking at every pack of cars and deciding which was the best one. He was so excited to give them to him. Geoff was very excited!

Aedan also picked out this shirt. He immediately pointed at this shirt and said that's what he wanted to give Daddy. The "Superman fire" shirt.

I picked out this one for Cali to give him. It made me laugh and then when Geoff got it he laughed. It's pretty perfect.

I got Geoff a few other things (good deals!!) and we're still waiting on his ipad2 stuff to come  but he's excited. It's nice to have a good excuse to spoil him since he is forever spoiling me. :)

 At church Aedan made a "#1 Dad" pin that Geoff proudly wore all day... with his Superman shirt. :)

We went over to my Mom's house for dinner. She made a yummy dinner for Father's Day and I made a yummy dessert. The kids gave Grandpa their Father's Day card and present...

It was a pretty fun Father's Day! I hope everyone else had a fun day with their Dad's or husbands. :)
