BIG GIRL CALI!

I'm going to be potty training Cali soon but yesterday she had to potty so we sat her on the toilet and she pooped on the potty! She was pretty excited. Now I'm thinking I should potty train her now before the excitement dies. :)

PRINCESS OF THE Y GENERATION

Cali wanted to watch Dora the other day but not on the tv. She wanted to watch it on my laptop. There was a big dramatic scene when the one she wanted to watch wasn't an instant watch option on netflix but she was soon happy and glued to the screen when I put another one on. She looked so cute sitting there with headphones in her ears.

SILLY GIRL

I got Cali some new shoes the other day and they are super cute! She wore one of the pairs on Sunday. She loves them. :)

GRANDMA & HER GIRLS

Thursday we had a Toy Story marathon and all 3 girls wanted to sit with Grandma.

AEDAN SANDWICH

Aedan fell asleep on the recliner between two pillows.

HORSEY RIDE

Cali was playing with Maegan's Barbie horse and wanted to go for a ride:

CLAYTASTIC FUN!

Grandee came to help out and brought a little clay set. Lexi was sick that day so Aedan and Cali were the only ones to do it but they had fun making little clay things and being creative. Grandee helped them roll, cut and shape their little creations.

I'm not sure what this was but Aedan was pretty excited about it:

WHY NOT?

Since I had Lily all week I decided to take some pictures. She is pretty cute afterall. :) I was planning on taking tons but my week was BUSY BUSY with 4 kids under 4. Here are a few that I did get.

SICK BAY

Last Sunday night Aedan got the stomach flu. It is so sad when kids get sick! He was so mellow and just layed around with his blankets. I watched my sisters kids all last week from Mon- Fri morning and during the week Lexi got sick and then Maegan and then Cali! None of the adults got it, thank goodness, but it sure traveled through the kids! Lily somehow escaped without getting it too which is great since she's the youngest.

Aedan leaning against the couch:

Geoff stopped at the store to grab some popsicles for Aedan. Luckily he got plenty because they ate them all week as each kid got sick. They loved having colorful tongues. :)

Aedan relaxing... he didn't complain.

LIL LASS

Today Cali looked like a little scottish girl. It made Geoff laugh and talk in a scottish accent (which he does really well). He loved it. :)
I'm kinda sad that I didn't get a picture of the whole look because she was pretty cute standing there with her knee socks, pleated skirt and pigtails. I got her whole head of hair into 2 pigtails today which is a first!

DADDY'S BOY

Aedan LOVES to sit at Geoff's computer! He just draws pictures in one of the programs but when he sits there he looks like a mini Geoff. It's pretty cute.

ANGEL BABY

They sure do look like little angels when they are asleep. So sweet and innocent. Too bad he'd wake up if I covered him in millions of kisses...

LEGOS

Aedan got a set of legos for Christmas that makes a fire truck and a 4 wheeler. He was so excited to build them but with all the tiny little pieces he wasn't allowed to do it by himself. Geoff made it a Daddy & Aedan project and they both had fun putting it together. Aedan actually did a lot of the work too. He was super excited when they were all finished!

PARTY TIME!

We started potty training Aedan almost a year ago. I've done a few posts about it along the way. Once he started peeing he was a pro! He does great and rarely has an accident. As far as pooping goes... he just won't do it! We've tried everything! We've bribed him with anything we could think of and he just won't do it! He has done it once or twice and each time we think "This is it! Now he'll start doing it all the time!" NOPE!!
So, Geoff and I have been really working on it. We're sick of him pooping in his undies or pull up! GRRRR!!!! Geoff has been telling him that if he poops on the potty we'll throw a big party with cupcakes and treats and stuff. I've been telling him that if he wants to go to school next year (preschool) that he needs poop on the potty every day. Both of those things seemed to get him excited again but every day it was the same thing. I started throwing away any undies he pooped in (so tired of cleaning them!) and he only had a few left.
So... he got new undies for Christmas from Santa. We made a big deal about it and said "You CANNOT poop in these undies because Santa gave them to you and if you do we'll have to throw them away and give the rest back to Santa!" He took it pretty seriously but the last few days he was wearing a pull up when he pooped.
Yesterday he was wearing his undies and he had to potty.
He looked over at me and said "Do I need to poop?"
I said "I don't know. Do you?"
He said "Is my poop coming out?"
I said "I don't know. Is it? Let's run to the potty and see!"
So, we went to the bathroom and he sat there... and sat there... and sat there....
I read him 10 books and still nothing so he went to go play and I kept the undies off since I knew it would be any minute. He was back in the bathroom a few minutes later and Maegan went with him to read some more books. Then she went to go help Mom and he was in there by himself and all of a sudden.... he did it!
So... we had a party last night with cupcakes (I made some really quick) and treats (left over from Christmas). He was very excited and we made a big deal out of it.

Then Geoff played with them for a while because Aedan wanted to play Monsters (one of us is the monster and chases the others around). Daddy's make the best monsters!! Geoff catches someone and then everyone else has to save them and then everyone runs away. They scream and laugh and have the best time.

We are really hoping that this time is different and he keeps using the potty. We'll see...
