SHOES

Em wore another one of Cali's dresses 2 weeks ago. She looked so cute! She was more interested in her shoes however. Makes me wonder if she'll be like Cali and like shoes so much she'll say shoe before Mom. :)

BOOTS

We had a few chilly days so I got out these adorable crocheted boots for Em to wear. So cute!

EXERCISE BUDDY

We finally got a jogger for Em so I've started up my morning routine again. I go every other day instead of every day but with 2 kids in school it's what I can do and I'm totally ok with it. I feel like I'm active enough throughout the week to make up any difference. :)

So Geoff takes the kids to school and Em and I head off! Em loves it! She usually ends up falling asleep about 15 minutes into it and then sleeps the rest of the way but she's all smiley when she's awake. She's so fun to take with me. My route is 3.3 miles right now and she's good company to have. The cutest little exercise buddy!! :)

4 YEARS OLD!

Cali's birthday was the 10th (I know... I'm WAY behind!) and we had fun celebrating our little Princess. She was so excited!!

In Cali's school district they don't allow anything to be brought in for birthdays so you pay $15 and they arrange store bought cupcakes on a tray (that I could have bought at the store myself for like $5... or a healthier version of it anyway) and give her a little hat and pencil. That is your only option. LAME!! but we did it anyway.

Cali has lots of friends in her class and they were so excited that it was her birthday. It was pretty cute. They all sang "Happy Birthday" and then ate the cupcakes...

After school she wanted lunch at InnNOut so we drove by there and then went to Grandma's to hang out since it happens to be when my Mom takes her lunch break. They had printed out a place mat for her to color and eat her lunch on...

Cali chose to go to Red Robin for dinner so we went there. We love Red Robin! They sang "Happy Birthday" to her and gave her an ice cream sunday. It was pretty fun. :)
(Cali has her eyes closed in pretty much all of these because she can't seem to keep them open when the flash is on. Haha)

I'm trying to remember to get pictures of Geoff and I more often...

For Cali's birthday she asked for Pocahontas, the little mini Princesses (she has 2) and My Little Ponies. So... we got her Pocahontas and a set of the little Princesses and Aedan got her a set of My Little Ponies. She was one happy girl (with closed eyes from the flash again)...

Aedan got her a card too. He was so excited about her birthday!

I made her a cake for her birthday and she requested a white cake with chocolate frosting so that's what I did. It was pretty good!

Her Grandma & Grandpa Douglas (who are on a mission in the Philippines) sent her an ecard for her birthday and she smiled and laughed. It made her day! I took a picture of the end of the card on the computer so she could always remember it and of her while she was watching it so Grandma & Grandpa could see that she loved it. She asked to watch it over and over again. :)

TEETH

On October 9th I noticed that Em had cut her first tooth! It must've happened the night before sometime. We knew it was coming because she had been a little fussy and she was showing all the signs. Then boom! There it was! She was so glad it was over. :) Then a week later she got her second one and that came as a surprise. So... now she has 2 teeth! I don't have a picture of them yet because it's just too hard to get one but this is the day after she got her first tooth and she was Miss Happy Pants again.

Also... this girl will chew on anything that fits in her mouth!

BIRTHDAYS

Curt's birthday was the 7th so we got together to celebrate it and Cali's birthday by going to Don Jose's for lunch with Grandpa Jim (my dad).

After our yummy lunch we headed over to Mom's to celebrate some more and add Mom's birthday to the list. It's kinda fun having the 3 birthdays right next to each other. :) Mom made big cupcakes for Cali's birthday and a lemon cake for Curt's (his fav).

Em wore her "I love my Uncle" onsie for the occasion so we had to take some pictures. :)

FASCINATED

Em has been fascinated by so many things lately. She is so curious about everything she sees. She also loves to put everything in her mouth which means we constantly have to keep an eye on her little hands. A few things that fascinate her...

The kids left their markers on the couch a few weeks ago and Em found them. She moved it around in her hands trying to figure out what it was while I changed her clothes...

Crawling. She is trying to figure it out and is totally into it. It's fun to watch her try...

She does this thing where she lifts her arms & legs and wiggles them.

I LOVE IT!!

Mommy's face. For some reason it fascinates her! She loves to grab it, eat it or just slobber all over it. It's the funniest thing and she does it with such smiles and excitement! :)

Water bottles. Who needs toys when empty water bottles make such cool sounds!?!

The iPad. I turned Baby Einstein on to see if she'd watch it and she was trying to touch everything. Stinkin screen got in her way! :)

Oddly enough... these were not all taken on the same day but she happens to be wearing the same thing. Hmmm....
