DISNEY DATE NIGHT

Disney was having a passholder event where they closed the park at 8 but from 8-11 annual passholders could stay. We decided to go even though it was a school night (thursday). The kids had a sleepover at Grandmas and we had an awesome date night filled with lots of pictures taken ourselves. Haha.
We got there early so we could go on a few rides and Disneyland first but we got there 1/2 and hour before it closed so we didn't think we'd be able to go on the rides I hadn't been on in years (Star Tours and Space Mtn to name a few) but we decided to check just in case. Star Tours had a 5 minute wait (what?!?) so we went on it. I hadn't been on it since they changed it (shocking, I know, but I've always had the kids with me!) and it was pretty cool.

Then we went to check the line at Space Mountain. It was only 10 minutes! I was one happy girl! I got to go on 2 of my favorite rides in less than half an hour!

Then we headed over to DCA which was the park staying open. We ate at the place we had our very first lunch date at (forget what it's called... flying something over by Soarin). It was so hot that we just got salads for dinner but man... they were pretty good!

We decided to go on Soarin since we were over there, and it had been a while since we'd been on it. I tried to get a picture with the Soarin sign behind us but it was hard to do while holding the camera out. This wasn't our only try...

Got it... but we're slightly blurry. Dang!

We ran into Mickey and Minnie...

and grabbed some ice cream to cool off a bit...

I tried to get a picture of us with the Ferris Wheel behind us...

We went on Goofy's Sky School which is a fun crazy ride. It was hard to get a picture there too. I know what you're thinking... flip the camera so you can see yourselfs, right? It's not as good of quality so I didn't want to! Maybe I should have? Haha

On the ride...

We walked by CARS Land and took a picture...

and some nice lady offered to take our picture so this is the only one not taken by us (except the one with Mickey and Minnie of course)...

The line for Screamin wasn't too long so we decided to go on it. It was so fun and the line was even shorter (5 min?) we went again! And then again...

After that my throat had had enough screaming and the park was closing anyways so we headed out...

but not without one more picture with the lighthouse behind us...

And one on the tram with our wristbands...

A few pics my Mom sent me while we were gone. Em loved her bath and had fun but we sure missed her!! (and Aedan and Cali too, of course)

IPHONE PICS

Here are a few pics...

Em got some ziplock bags stuck to her feet. haha...

Em found an old pair of Cali's shoes and HAD to wear them...

Em wanted to wear her black dress shoes with her pajamas and bring a toothbrush to go on a walk...

when we got back, she walked her stroller around the garage...

She just looked so cute...

She was playing with my glasses...

Em was so upset after Daddy left for work and the only way I could get her to stop was to start asking her where her eyes, nose, ears and belly button were. She loves answering. ;)

Geoff and I needed to run to Disneyland to get some wristbands for a passholder event that night so we took Em and Cali with us real quick. They had fun even though they only got to ride the tram...

After that I took Cali to take a test at school and while she was doing that Em colored on a paper. Cali's teacher was pretty impressed with how well Em held the crayon and colored. She's done that since she first picked one up. I love watching all the things she does...

LABOR DAY AT DISNEYLAND

We spent Labor Day at Disneyland. It was SOOOO HOT but we still had fun. It's always great to have Geoff there with us. We decided to go in the morning and hit some rides and then come home for lunch and Em's nap and head back for the rest of the day. It ended up being a great idea because we got out of the heat for a few hours.

Em has decided that she wants to sit on the seat on the tram from now on. The tram peeps say "No lap sitting except for small children" and she has decided she is no longer small. ;)

We went into DCA first and the kids wanted to ride the trolley so Geoff hopped on with them and they took it as close to CARS land as they could get...

While they took the tram, Em and I looked around in some shops and then headed over to meet them (she wanted all the Minnie stuff, of course)...

Geoff and Aedan went on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree...

Geoff took Aedan and Cali on Luigi's Flying Tires (can you tell the sun was in their eyes?)...

While they went on that, Em and I headed over to Bugs Land to wander around. Em saw some bugs in the bushes and got all excited.

She loved walking around and going wherever she wanted...

We found the splash pad area and Em had to check it out. At first she wondered what the heck was happening and then she decided she LOVED it and got soaked. I let her get as crazy as she wanted because I had a change of clothes for her...

After I changed her clothes we headed for the rides. She found some bushes to hid in....

We went on Flick's Fliers and she sat in her own seat. Such a big girl! ;)

Geoff and the kids got there right as the ride ended so Geoff got a picture of us...

We decided to head home for Em's nap and to cool off and Em was smiling at her Daddy across the tram...

When we got back we headed over to Disneyland and straight to Buzz Lightyear. I got a picture of Geoff and the kids waiting in line...

and here are our Buzz pictures...

Then we headed over to Dumbo. Em thought it was fun to climb through the bars and try to escape...

We love to go on Dumbo but only can when Geoff is with us because the kids and I don't all fit in one Dumbo. So, we had to go on that ride, of course!

Next was the carousel. Em was so excited to get on a horse and was all smiles! She loved it!

Em did NOT want to get off her horse and cried. Then she ran back to the exit and tried to open the door to go back in. Poor girl! ;)

We headed back over to DCA and this time we all rode the trolly together.  It was fun...

(had to add this one because Em was being so silly)

We went on Ariel's ride so I tried to get some pictures of us while we were on the ride...

and one more picture while we were on our way out. CARS LAND looks so cool with the lights on at night!
