Out with the old... in with the new

A few years ago my sister gave us their entertainment center to use until we found something else. I decided recently it was time to start looking because I was tired of the constant finger prints all over the tv and Cali started trying to turn the tv or pull it out completely. It was driving me slightly crazy. :) So, I wanted a new one that was taller and where the tv is on top out of reach. So, we looked and found one at RC Willey that was a great deal (clearanced of course!) and had the antique look that I like. So, we got it. It looks almost like a dresser but I kind of like that about it. It hides our dvd's (which was another problem... WAY too many dvd's and all the stacks look tacky!!) and the tv sits on top and out of reach. Yipee!! We did have to get some extra storage for the rest of our dvds but we're happy with our new purchase.
After we took the child locks off the old entertainment center and I cleaned it, Aedan started climbing around inside it. All of a sudden it was a big empty toy to play in.

This was Aedan's favorite way to watch tv:

He climbed inside and shut the door.
He thought it was sooo funny!

Ta Da! Here it is:

Mascara

On Friday we were getting ready to leave so I was putting some mascara on. Cali grabbed my spare mascara and was playing with it which I thought was no big deal since she doesn't know how to open it. I didn't think about the fact that Aedan knows how to open it and would be just as eager to do it as Cali. So, by the time I finished both kids have put mascara on. Don't they look so pretty?

Jelly shoes

Remember Jelly Shoes from when we were kids? Well, they are back! They are a little different but still all jelly like and super cute. I got Cali a pair and she wanted to wear them right away. She LOVES them and has to wear them whenever she sees them so I have to hide them if I want her to wear other shoes now. When I first put them on her she ran around the house doing a little dance. So, the next day when she asked me to put them on (by handing them to me) got the camera for some pictures.
I hate that she is turning into such a little girl so fast but I love how all the cute things she does as she grows. She is so silly. :)

She loves to climb up and type on the computer which usually messes something up... but she thinks it's hilarious!

Quiet kids=mischief!

Yesterday the kids were in Aedan's room being pretty quiet so I went to check on them. Aedan had taken the syrup from his cake earlier and poured it all over his room, blankets, and the biggest victim of his mischief was...

POOR CALI!!!

She was COVERED in syrup... mostly in her hair. It was dripping down her hair onto her face. YUCK! I immediately put her and Aedan in the bath and washed them up and then went to clean up Aedan's room which was a big sticky mess. Not my idea of fun. :)

Another Chef in the family...

Yesterday morning Aedan decided he wanted to make a cake. I had given him orange juice to drink and he poured it into a bowl and started mixing it. He grabbed some syrup to add to it. Then he poured it into a cake pan and put it in the oven. All by himself. I thought it was a pretty interesting recipe. Thankfully he doesn't know how to turn the oven on yet. :)

Mac N Cheese

Yesterday I made some Mac n cheese for the kids lunch. They love the stuff! Cali started taking her bowl and leaning all the way back in her chair to dump the whole bowl into her mouth. It kinda cracked me up so I grabbed my camera just in case she did it again. She did but it wasn't as dramatic.

Aedan was trying to hide from the camera but then he'd take his hands away and crack up so I still got a smile out of him. :)

Laundry day

Last week I was doing laundry and Cali climbed into her laundry basket. When Aedan climbed in with her she got very upset. I think she looks so cute when she cries her super sad cry. Her big blue eyes fill up with tears and you just can't help but feel bad for her.

(I know... I totally need to do something with those bangs!)

So, I went and got another basket for Aedan to play in (Cali's was too small for both of them anyways) and then they were both happy. Cali was laughing again and Aedan pretended to sleep when I was trying to take his picture.

Finger puppets

Last week we went over to Tammy's and Cali found these little finger puppets. I put them on her fingers and she squealed with delight! I wish I had gotten that moment on camera cuz it cracked me up. She gave them kisses and had them talk to and kiss each other and I got that.

Lily (my niece) fell asleep while I was there and I thought she looked so cute and snuggly!

Daisies!!

Lisa's Mom is an amazing artist and she recently painted me my own painting! I was so excited and absolutely LOVE it! She painted my favorite flower... Daisies! Thank you Donna!!

My Valentine's

Well, this is over a week late but I have been super busy!

Geoff got me these beautiful flowers & HUGE card:

Aedan & Cali got me a card. Aedan told me that his says
"I love you Mom!"
I love my sweet Valentine's!!

Maegan's visit

My Mom and Maegan drove my Grandma to Vegas to spend a few weeks with my sister so Maegan got to stay with us Saturday and Sunday night. Aedan was so excited because he loves his Aunt Maegan!! He had so much fun playing with her! Here are some pictures of the whole weekend... mostly Aedan & Maegan.
