When I go jogging in the mornings I usually wear one of those headband things. Totally dorky, I know, but my poor ears get so cold! I usually take it off about 1/2 way when it's warmer out. Aedan grabbed the one I wore this morning and put it on. He thinks it's pretty cool. He ran around the room "exercising". I thought he looked silly so I took a picture. Then, of course, he had to pose for me. :)
Today Cali wore a cute outfit that she got for Christmas from Grandma. It's been chilly the last few days so it was a good day to wear a sweater.
The other day Cali sat down with her dog and read it a book. It was pretty cute.
P.S. I love her hair in a ponytail!
Today I took the clippers to Aedan's hair. It was the easiest solution. I kept it as long as possible and ended up doing 1/2". Luckily this kid looks cute no matter what (at least I think so). Now you have to look pretty close to notice his cuts.
After the buzzing, he hopped in the bath to get all the hair off of him and then I took some pictures. He was posing and smiling! He does the silliest poses. I'm posting them all no matter how similar they are. :)
Last night after baths the kids were making silly faces. Aedan was totally making faces for the camera. He wasn't camera shy at all so I took a bunch. Cali would only do one face for a while and then finally did another one. She also had one of their dogs make a face.
As you can see... if I brush Aedan's hair to the side you can't really tell it's been cut! Too bad it doesn't stay that way for more than 2 minutes! :)
I'm not sure why a kid would do this but apparently mine isn't the only one so maybe it's just a kid thing. Geoff walked into the bathroom and found Aedan there... with a hair cut. He had cut his own hair. It wasn't that terrible. It was only one section of his head, on the side but it was still there and didn't look good. I didn't really get that good of a picture. It only looks bad in the one spot so it was hard to get.
I just think these pants are so cute! It's not the best picture of them but I tried. I wasn't going to bother posting it but you know me... I can't resist posting a picture of Cali.
I went in to wake up Cali on Sunday so we could go to Grandma's. She looked cute, of course, but I noticed that she was snuggling her blanky! I totally do the same thing! It made me smile.
The kids got these cool books for Christmas from Grandma. Each page has an empty face (one book is animals and one is people) and then it comes with magnetic eyes, noses and mouths to put on them. You can either make the correct face that goes with it (monkey, pirate, ect) or you can make silly faces. They love it!
Well, the other day they brought me some eyes and I have no idea what they wanted me to do with them so I stuck them up to my eyes. They laughed so hard! They thought it was the silliest thing they'd ever seen! They kept saying "Silly Mommy!" and bring me another pair of eyes to try. It was so fun to make them laugh so much.
I personally think it's kinda creepy looking...
It's funny how kids take something random and turn it into hours of fun! Aedan took the huge box from our massage table and turned it into a slide for him and Cali. He just propped it up on my craft box and he was set. It fell a few times and there were some minor bonks but they had the BEST time sliding down it. The next day it was the same thing. Eventually the box was destroyed so Geoff had to take it to the trash while they weren't looking.
We had a fun Valentine's Day! Grandma and Maegan came over and brought Valentine's for Aedan and Cali. Aedan ran over to give them their Valentine's before they were even through the door. We all walked to the park and the kids played until it was time to come home and take naps. I totally forgot to have my camera handy for all of that though.
Aedan and I made cupcakes to take to Daddy's work. We got all cute in our red and pink (although I only got pics of the kids), stopped at Del Taco to pick up Daddy's favorite lunch and then went to drop it all off. The kids were very excited. Aedan carried the card and Cali carried his lunch while I carried all the cupcakes (it was safer that way). Everyone at his work loved the cupcakes and we got to sit and eat lunch together. It was great!
