This morning we went to go see The Lorax! My Mom got some tickets to see an early showing of it and invited us to go along. We have the book so the kids were excited to go see the movie. We didn't know it was in 3D (Geoff and I aren't fans of the whole 3D thing) and we ended up really enjoying it. It is such a cute movie and had some LOL moments in there. We recommend seeing it for sure!
While we were in our seats they were handing out mustaches and stuff to the kids. They had such a good time before the movie and then during they both sat there mesmerized by it. I even caught Aedan grabbing at the air a few times (trying to catch the 3D stuff). The kids were holding up their mustaches and eating popcorn which looked pretty funny because they had to sneak it under the mustache (maybe you had to be there). It was pretty fun and we took some pictures before the movie started...

Octopus
This weekend the homework was to make an ocean animal. Aedan chose to make an Octopus. We had such a busy weekend that I'm glad today was a holiday so we had an extra day to make it. Since Geoff is working I decided to make the octopus. It's probably not as clever as Geoff's animals :) but it turned out pretty cute. Aedan picked out all the colors (even the different colors for the 8 ribbon legs). He thinks it's pretty cool and loves it so I guess that makes it true. :)

HAILEY'S BIRTHDAY BASH!
We went to Vegas over the weekend for little Hailey's 3rd birthday party! Aedan & Cali love their cousin so they were excited to go see her and we were excited to meet her new little sister Kayla too. We stayed with Lisa & Wade which is always fun. :) The party was Saturday afternoon and the kids had a great time (ok, the adults did too)! Baby Kayla slept until the party was over :( but I did sneak a picture of her while she was sleeping and I got to hold her when she woke up.
After the party Lisa & Wade met us, Nick, Amy and the kids at Denny's so we could have a warm place to hang out for a bit longer.
The kids ran around the park for a while. They had so much fun in the dinosaur area and on the slides and stuff. It was a fun park...
Geoff and his niece Emily took the kids around to look at the ducks. They were pretty excited about that...
Geoff also went on the playground with Aedan. He LOVED that!! This morning when he was talking about how fun the party was I said "Did you have fun playing with your cousins?" and he said "Yes! And Dad too! He played on the slide with me!!"

VALENTINE'S DAY
We had a MUCH busier Valentine's Day than I planned. I spent most of Monday baking sugar cookies for Aedan's preschool class and cupcakes and peanut butter blossoms (with a Hershey's heart instead of kiss... totally cute idea I got off of Pinterest) for Geoff's work.
So, Tuesday morning we took Aedan to school and dropped off Aedan with his Valentine's and the little heart shaped sugar cookies...
We went to Grandma's for a bit where I actually did Cali's hair. She looked pretty cute and we had fun taking some pictures...
Grandma made little Valentine goodie plates for the kids (and Geoff & me too) that they loved! Cali wanted a picture with her Cocoa Krispy treat heart...
After we picked Aedan up from preschool we went and got some lunch for Daddy (and us) and took it to him at work with his treats. We went around passing out the cupcakes and cookies.
Then Cali informed me that she wanted to bring cookies to people (she had a specific list!). I figured that was a great idea so we went around for the rest of the day visiting family and delivering treats...
They had a great time being little Valentines and it was a good excuse to drive out and visit my Grandma's. :)
We got back home just in time to grab some dinner. We stopped at the mailbox and the kids were SO excited to receive their own Valentine mail from their friend Stella!! The card said that she missed them so Aedan asked "what does it miss you mean?". Well, I wasn't sure exactly how to explain that so I said it meant you're sad that you aren't together and can't wait to see them again. I handed the card back to them and drove around to pick up Geoff. When I looked back Aedan was wiping his eyes and looked super sad. I asked what was wrong and he said "I miss Stella too!" which was pretty cute and sad at the same time. He wanted to know when we'd see her again and stuff. I tried to get him to smile for a picture with the card and he was just too sad...
So, I tried and tried and eventually got him to laugh (once I assured him we'd see Stella after the baby was born) so I could get a smiling picture of him. Cali was still pretty excited to get the card so she was easy. :)
We went to dinner and when we got home there were flowers waiting for me from MY Valentine. :)
