Dr. Aedan will see you now...

My mom was entertaining Aedan and found a doctors bag that was my sister Maegan's. So, she showed him how to use everything and then became his patient. It was so cute!

Shaun and Allie's wedding...

On Friday our friends Shaun & Allie got married! It was such a beautiful wedding and we are so happy for them! I took tons of pictures and here are some of my favorites:

The Bride & Groom:

Allie's gorgeous bouquet

This is my favorite picture of the day!

Allie looked so beautiful

Shaun looked so handsome

An "old roommates" picture minus Jena

Some other pictures we took while waiting around:

Our (Liesl, me, Lisa) handsome hubbies "The geek squad"

Lisa with her bouquet

I got a picture of Ian & Geoff talking their nerd talk
(Geoff was nice enough to hold my purse)

The reception...

The reception was absolutely beautiful! Allie said she wanted it to look like a rose garden and I think they got as close as they could. I didn't get any good pictures of it because of the lighting but it was amazing!

I love the look on Shaun's face. Geoff says that Shaun is the
only person he's ever met who's face has a disclaimer on it.

Lisa's bouquet... so beautiful!

We took some pictures of us eating cake.

I love this picture of Shaun & Allie walking out to their very decorated car.

My Nana

Myrna Marie Davis on her 98th birthday

I would just like to say a few words about this amazing woman who I was lucky enough to call Nana. She passed away Thursday, the 11th.

Nana was always so elegant and cheerful, she sang while she would cook or clean and her bible is worn from so much reading. I think those things alone say so much about her but there are a few memories of Nana that made her extra special to me...

My sisters and I took turns getting to stay the night with Nana and Grandee (my grandma) and we loved it so much! Nana would always have a bowl on the coffee table she would fill with candy.

Nana loved to play cards so whenever we would stay with her we would play all kinds of card games. That is how I learned how to play cards.

Anytime we saw her, Nana would always greet us with smiles and hugs and want to hear how we were and what we were up to.

Nana loved to go out to eat and it was such a treat to go out to eat with her. A few of her favorite places were Love's, Marie Calendar's and Vince's Spaghetti. In the last few years she loved to go to Outback.

Nana always looked her best, even to just stay home. She wouldn't leave the house without her lipstick on and would always "freshen up" with her fancy compact when we were done eating at a restaurant.

Nana was born in 1911 so she grew up in a fascinating era. She had a great memory and I loved to hear her stories and see her pictures.

Goodbye Nana, until I see you again. I love you and will miss you!

8 months!

On the 10th our little Cali turned 8 months old! She is so fun! Here are some of her favorite things:

  • seeing Mom, Dad or Aedan come into her room in the morning
  • watching Aedan no matter what he is doing
  • whenever Aedan plays with her she is in heaven!
  • rolling around all over
  • playing in her baby einstein jumper
She has her 2 bottom teeth now and is so close to crawling. She is so happy and smiley and we are so blessed to have her as our little girl.

Cali's hair is one of my favorite things about her. It is all soft and fluffy like a baby chick. I think it is so adorable and gives her so much character. I cut it a few days ago (just the longer ones, nothing major) and I just love it.

Cali & Aedan

Yesterday they both looked so cute in their outfits for church so I took pictures, as usual. I got Aedan a new vest and he looked so handsome. :)

Cute kids...

On Saturday I took some pictures of the kids...

I love Aedan's big smiles!!

I got such a huge kick out of Cali's capri pants she was wearing.
So cute! Plus she had cute shoes on too.

Also, on Saturday night we noticed that Cali had FINALLY cut her first tooth! As soon as it's there enough to see in pictures I'll post some.

So cool!

A while ago, possibly around the time Aedan was born, my mom found these sunglasses for him. They were too big when he was born so I put them with other stuff and totally forgot about them until yesterday when I was going through everything and there they were! So I gave them to him hoping they'd fit. They do and he thinks they are super cool. He was more than happy to let me take a bunch of pictures with them on:

"I'm so cool!"

He talks by looking over the top of the glasses

He put them on his forehead like all the cook kids do

Just too cool

He thought it would be cool to put them on Cali and after a few tries (almost poking out her eyes) I helped him put them on her:

CARS

Aedan's new favorite movie is "Cars" and he would watch it 5 times a day if we'd let him. I'm pretty sick of the movie now so I usually just put it on our portable dvd player and have him watch it. He dances and sings with the songs and gets so excited! He also has his little cars that he plays with all the time that he takes good care of. He feeds them and gives them water and when I wipe him up after eating I also have to wipe off his cars. He treats his cars like a little girl would treat her doll or something and it makes us laugh. So, today he's watching cars and I look over and he has his little cars watching with him but the cars have front row seats right on the dvd player. I thought it was cute so I took a picture that he happily said "cheese!" for. We sure love our cute little guy and all the funny stuff he does/says.

Also, last night we were at Lisa & Wade's watching the new Die Hard movie (Wade was nice enough to edit the language for Aedan) and when all the cars were blown up or crashing Aedan was genuinely upset. His face was horrified that so many cars were being destroyed. We had to tell him that it was just pretend. We didn't realize just how much he loved cars until then. :)

Cali's cute outfit

I love this little outfit! Lisa's mom gave it to Cali with a bunch of other cute outfits. I was so excited to put her in it and make a little flower to match. So fun! :)
