We went to a Pioneer Day Picnic (church activity) which was super fun. We made some seriously delicious potato salad (Geoff has mad skills) and some pies. The kids played on the playground for a while and then we had some yummy dinner and pies. They had some fun activities for the kids and adults. Geoff did the water balloon toss but I didn't get any pictures because I was over with the kids. They got to play a few games and had a blast! Some of the pictures are blurry but you get the idea.
Cali looked super cute, as usual.
Cute sandals!
In this game they had 2 volunteers who wore t-shirts with a target on it. The kids got to throw a big WET sponge at them and see if they could hit the target. It was fun to watch the little ones (Cali's age) try it. Once they told Cali what to do it was hard to get her to stop. :)
When it was Aedan's turn he hit the target more than once! He was pretty excited!
Then it was off to the water balloons. They had little ones for the kids. All of the 2-5 age kids didn't really understand (or pay attention to find out) how to do a water balloon toss so Angie, who was in charge of the game, got a brilliant idea to have them all run a little race and then at the end throw their balloon. It was a huge hit! Cali cracked me up because she ran with her balloon high in the air with a huge grin and then very seriously threw her balloon on the ground.
Then ALL the kids got prizes for playing the games....
They had a great time!
