sunglasses

I've probably already posted pictures of Cali with her sunglasses but I just can't resist! Last night before bed she was trying to put them on and I think it's so cute when kids put glasses on upside down and crooked and all that.

The most expensive cheeseburger I've ever had!

This morning Geoff has been taking the old entertainment center apart. He had it laying on it's front so Aedan climbed into the hole where the tv goes and was playing. I walked in and this is what happened:

He asked "What do you want?" (It took me a second to figure out that he was pretending we were at a drive through)...

I told him I wanted a cheeseburger. He said "that's fourteen" (meaning fourteen dollars). I gave him his pretend money...

Then he made my cheeseburger...
And handed it to me...
I ate it and told him it was the yummiest cheeseburger I've ever had! It was also the most expensive! I don't think I would pay $14 for a cheeseburger anywhere except Aedan's drive through. :)

Aedan's undies

Whenever I hold out Aedan's undies for him so he can put them on, Cali runs over and lifts up her leg because she wants to step into them. So, the other day she found a pair of undies and started putting them on herself. I helped her and she was so excited to run around in undies. :) She looked so cute with undies over her diaper but she wouldn't hold still so I didn't get any decent pictures. These are the ones I did get. (Her hair is a mess because I had taken out her pigtails so they had big funky indents from that.)

Growing on me

So, Cali brought me a barrette to put in her hair. I'm not sure why since she just pulls them out but I put it in. She kept it in until I started taking pictures but I did get a few before she pulled it out. I thought her hair looked cute with a barrette it in. Don't get me wrong... I still don't like the haircut but her bangs are growing on me a little. I think once they grow out to a normal length they will be super cute.

I called the salon to let them know how upset I was about Cali's hair so they said to bring her in so they could try to fix it. I didn't know what they could do to fix hair that is already too short. When I got there, the lady who tried to fix it wasn't sure what to do because it was so short and uneven. If she tried to even it out it would make it even shorter. So, she just did a subtle layer in the bangs so it wasn't so blunt and it evened it out a little. She also evened out the sides as best as she could. It looks so much better than it did even though I still don't like it.

While I was trying to get pictures of Cali's hair, she was busy trying to put Aedan's pants on him. She has been trying to put clothes on lately and I guess she thought she'd try to put them on someone else for a change. :) So, that's what I got pictures of instead of her hair.

The solution

Pigtails!!

I decided to play with Cali's hair a little this morning and see what I could do with it to make it look somewhat normal. I put a barrette in it and while it did help the situation, it still didn't look right so I'll have to work on that. I put pigtails in her hair and it looked pretty cute. Her bangs are still way to short but at least you can't tell how wide they are and how uneven the hairs on the sides of her head are. She does this thing all the time now where she sings and bobs her head. It's the cutest thing but it makes taking a picture a lot more difficult. :)

It'll grow back right?

I am so sad! We took Cali to get her hair cut tonight because Aedan needed a haircut so bad and we figured we'd take her as well. We talked ahead of time about what we wanted to do with it (bangs/no bangs) and decided definitely NO bangs and just a little trim to even out the back. So, when it was Cali's turn, I told the lady to just TRIM it. Geoff sat in the chair to hold Cali and I was taking pictures of both kids. I turned to snap a few shots of Aedan and talk to him for a minute and when I turned around my little girl looked like a monk! I was so horrified!! Then the lady just kept chopping making it worse instead of better. If she had just cut some bangs and that's it I would have been bummed but fine... but she not only cut bangs, she did a HORRIBLE job!! I am so upset about it.

So, here she is when it was all over. I brushed it to the side to see if it would look a little better and I think it helped but there is just no fixing this!

Aedan's haircut

Aedan got his hair cut tonight and was he was an excellent client! He sat so good and still (mostly) and the girl who cut his hair was so impressed and kept saying how cute he was. I totally agreed of course! :)

Cali's pigtails

I put Cali's hair in pigtails on Sunday and I just LOVE her hair like that. I forgot to post a picture though so I thought I'd do it now.

Water spout

This morning I tried to put a barrette in Cali's hair a few times and she pulled it out so I just grabbed a bunch of hair and put it in a little pony tail at the top of her head (aka a waterspout). I thought it looked so cute! Aedan wanted her barrette in his hair so I clipped it in and took some pictures.
