1ST DAY OF PRESCHOOL!!

Monday was Aedan's 1st day of preschool! We had talked to him about it so he'd know what to expect and stuff and he was super excited! Geoff got him up bright and early Monday morning and he was instantly awake and full of excitement! Before he even got out of bed he said "It's a great day for school!". He was super excited about his lunch box. His preschool is from 8-11 so I guess it's more of a breakfast box. :) They do a morning breakfast/snack.
I took a few pictures before we left...

When we got there he was Mr. Independent walking to his classroom. He went right in, said "Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" and started playing. I admit I got a little choked up. :) I'm so glad he was so excited and ok with going to school (a few kids were crying and hanging on their Mom's).

When I went to pick him up he saw me, got a HUGE smile and started pointing at me saying "There's my Mom!" to his teacher. I felt so special. :) I love this little guy! He is seriously the coolest!!

BRAIDS

On Sunday I put Cali's hair in 2 little braids. Nothing fancy but I thought it was so cute. Then she stood right in the shade so I didn't even get very good pictures. Maybe next time...

CHANGING CLOTHES

Cali's new thing is changing her clothes. She does it constantly when we're home. She'll say "I need to change my clothes" and off she goes to put on something new. She usually picks out outfits that match but the top, shorts (or pants), or both are usually backwards. Sometimes her outfits are just wacky. She thinks it's awesome though. Life is all about clothes... and shoes for this girl. :)
The other day she got into her dress up clothes which are a combo of Maegan's old princess dresses and ballet stuff. She had a blast coming out and showing me each thing she tried on. She'd always make sure and do a twirl in the outfit. Typical Cali. :)

(FYI: The purple tank under these is totally on backwards)

A wacky outfit. She thought the stripes and polka dots were hilarious, as if she knew it totally didn't go...

CAPTAIN DALLIN EARTUG'S BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Aedan's friend Dallin had a Pirate birthday party yesterday! It was super fun! They got to go swimming, have a yummy lunch, a treasure hunt, some super tasty cake & ice cream and got some cool goodie bags to take home! I watched Maegan this week since my Mom started work before she started school so she came with us.

Cali posing at the pool:

I'm not sure where the idea came from but Maegan and Aedan would take the noodle things and "fish". Then they'd catch their fish and then jump in. Aedan LOVES to jump in from the side of the pool but this was quite a jump for a little guy and I was pretty impressed that he did it over and over again. Some of them are blurry but you get the idea...

Cali just swam around like a little fish:

After some swimming and some lunch, there was a treasure hunt! Dallin's mom made it super fun! She gave them all eye patches and pirate bandanas for their heads and then they went from clue to clue to find the treasure. Here are the pirates...

Eye patches:

"Aaaarrrggg"

Singing Happy Birthday!
(All of Dallin's friends gathered around for a pic)
(isn't this cake awesome?!?)

Cali loved the chocolate!

When the kids got home they went straight for the goodies. They loved the candy bracelets and ring pops. Big hit! Then they put their pirate stuff back on and played pirates.

"Aaaarrrrgggg"

Aedan has been wearing his pirate stuff all day today too. Seriously! He even wore the eye patch to Target (the bandana got water on it so it stayed home to dry)!!

Maegan played dress up with the kids again...
