Painting

We were meeting Amy and Hailey at a park nearby with a water pad so the kids could play and get wet (and get out of the house so Geoff could get some major painting done). We were all ready to go and I was getting my bag ready when Aedan walked up to me and this is what I saw:

(Insert a huge intake of breath here) I turned around to see where he got the paint from and I saw this:

(insert even bigger intake of breath here) I could not believe what had happened so quickly and with me standing right there with my back turned!! So I grabbed my camera and called Geoff in to grab the paint brush and clean up the kids since I was in regular clothes and he was still in painting clothes.

I was so bummed that Cali totally ruined her outfit and brand new shoes but thanks to Geoff her shoes ended up being totally fine since they are mostly white and the shorts (which I love!) are still stained with paint but they kinda look like it's on purpose or something.

So, Geoff changed Cali and wiped her off, wiped off Aedan's clothes and we left for the park.

The next day Amy and Hailey came over to see us and Hailey got into some mischief with the paint too. It looks like she ate it but I don't think she actually did. She looked cute though and as usual gave me a huge smile so I could take a picture. :)

We went to Vegas for the weekend to paint our old house and make sure it was all clean and ready for new people to live there. It was a HOT weekend and pretty boring for the kids since the house was so empty. Thankfully there are laptops and dvds! :) The kids did find other ways to entertain themselves and burn some energy though so that was good. They played ball with each other and Aedan chased Cali around. We've discovered recently that Cali can throw and catch a ball really well! She is better than Aedan even!

Library

My Mom and I took the kids to the library on Thursday for story time. For the summer they are having all kinds of stuff for the kids and they were all excited to go. Thursday "The Wildlife Company" came and showed them a few animals that live in different rain forests. Everyone went out onto the grass behind the library and the lady told them all kinds of things about the animals. Aedan sat next to Maegan the whole time and was totally into it. Cali roamed around a little but still enjoyed the animals. After that we walked through the library and it was pretty cool. It's the library I went to as a kid except they tore it down and rebuilt it so it's all modern and has cool stuff.

Cali found a little dog friend that she sat with. The dog loved her and gave her all kinds of attention. It was cute.

When we were walking all over the library Cali found a computer and went over, sat down, and looked like she knew exactly what she was doing.

Cali in a box

The other day Cali was walking over to the table for dinner and fell into this box. She couldn't get out and wasn't very happy about it. I thought it was kinda funny and grabbed my camera. :)

Also... Cali's hair mostly fits into a ponytail now. Just the front and some side hair don't fit but it looks cute.

Stud

This morning Geoff wore one of his new shorts & shirts to work. I had to take a picture. :) He LOVES his new job and it's going really great! His boss speaks his geek language and is really excited about all the stuff Geoff can do to help the company grow. It's perfect for Geoff! I'm so glad that he is doing what he loves and really enjoys work now. Yipee!!

I love to get him shirts that say funny things. :)

Playing outside... again

Yesterday my step-sister came over to make dinner for her dad (and all of us) and brought her daughter Addison. She is 6 months younger than Aedan so she likes playing with Aedan and Cali both. They all wanted to go outside so I went out there with them (and Maegan too of course). I know there have been a million pictures of them playing outside lately but I just can't resist! They love playing outside!!

These first 3 are almost identical but I love all 3.

When all the kids wanted to run around in the street with their cars, tricycles, ect Geoff got his bike and rode around with him. I took a picture of him and then my battery was too low so I went in to charge it. This picture cracks me up though because he's showing off his shirt again. He really is proud to be awesome!! :)

Tantrums

Lately Cali has been hitting the "terrible twos" and she won't even be 2 until October. We never experienced it with Aedan because he talked so well he could always just tell us what he wanted. He was the best 2 year old. I think Cali is making up for it though. She is definitely our little drama queen! If she doesn't get what she wants (and we usually have no idea what that is) then she throws herself on the ground and screams. I think it should be called "traumatic twos" because everything is like the end of the world when she is upset. Luckily we think it's kinda funny... otherwise I think I would go crazy!

Anyone have any good tips???

Oh, and Aedan might have been a great 2 year old but right when he hit 3 he started being a little pill! He's testing the limits on everything and won't listen to anything I say!! I sit here and wonder what happened to my perfect little angel? This is normal right??
