New Year's Eve!

This New Year's Eve we pretty much did the same thing we did last year. It's so much easier to just stay home, put the kids to bed and do something low key when the kids are so little. So, Lisa and Wade came over to spend the evening with us watching movies, playing games and eating tons of snacks and junk food. Geoff and I finally joined the real world and got a Blue Ray DVD player for ourselves for Christmas so we wanted to watch something cool on it. We only have 3 Blue Ray DVDs so far so Lisa and Wade brought over some of theirs and man... we have been missing out! It was awesome! :) Then we played some games and got ready for the count down. At midnight we went outside (so we wouldn't wake the kids) and popped some poppers with the neighbors. It was pretty fun and nice to have some adult time. We took some silly pictures of our night just so we'd have some proof that we stayed up. :)
We got some party hats this year and some strawberry & pina colada daiquiri mix for some yummy virgin daiquiri's so we took some pictures with those:

Lisa and I are HUGE "Friends" fans and totally got our hubby's hooked on it too. Lisa got me this game a few years back and we had fun playing it. Geoff & I beat Lisa & Wade by 1 turn. It was SO close!!

Voted the best picture of the night

We took a similar picture years ago when we were on the strip for
New Year's (CRAZY!) so we thought we'd re-create it

So pretty!

My kids LOVE my chapstick! Mostly they think it's really yummy and love to eat it and then when I go to find my chapstick it's a big mess of slobbered on gook. I finally taught Aedan how to use it and that it's for your lips but Cali is still learning this. Yesterday she got my chapstick and was putting it on her lips like she was supposed to and we thought it was pretty cute that her whole mouth was covered in pink. She did try to eat it every few minutes but mostly just kept going back and forth across her lips. She thought it was so fun! I had Geoff take a few pictures.

Silly faces...

Cali loves to say "CHEESE" when the camera is pointed at her and she smiles SO BIG that her eyes are closed and all you can do is laugh. She had Aedan's CARS hat on this morning so I took some pictures. I had to share her huge smile and I kinda love it that she has eyes that shut like mine do when we smile too big. The second one was just a silly face she made while saying "cheese" for the millionth time.

My silly sweet Geoff

Sometimes Geoff does something that is so silly and sweet at the same time. I randomly find messages on my computer screen and stuff. This one was pretty funny. He was playing with Aedan and they were drawing fun stuff on Aedan's new toy thing. Aedan started to do other stuff and Geoff kept drawing on it and when he turned it around this is what I saw:

I had to take a picture before the kids wanted to play with it again. :)

215 degrees

Did you know that steam is 215 degrees? Well, I had no idea until I lifted the lid off my pot of vegetable beef soup Tuesday night and the steam hit my arm. I could not believe how much it hurt! I had to keep it cold for any relief until Geoff reminded me that we have some Aloe gel I could put on it. That was the most wonderful thing in the world at that moment! I had to keep putting it on since it doesn't last super long but it was fantastic! I took these last night just so I could remember it... maybe it'll teach me to be more careful. :)
I had to take the flash off and they aren't very good pictures but here is my burn. The top is a straight line because I had my watch on and it's shiny because I had just put Aloe Vera gel on it.

Stripes & Penguins

For Christmas my Mom got the kids matching sweaters, hats, gloves & penguins from The Children's place. It was so cute and the kids LOVED their penguins! Mom wanted pictures of all the kids together in their outfits which was quite a task! Getting 5 kids of different ages to sit still and look at the camera long enough for even one picture was impossible (and kind of funny). So, here's how it went...

Impromptu photo shoot

We went to see one of my favorite people while we were in Utah! We spent most of the day with Michelle and she offered to take some pictures of the kids in their cute matching sweaters, gloves & hats that my Mom had gotten them. Aedan was all smiles and excitement but was eating chicken nuggets that he didn't want to let go of. He was jumping around so much that I'm not sure how she got such great pictures. :) Cali fell in the snow once and was done. Luckily Michelle got a few before that happened and she also got a few after that I also love. I posted a million pictures because I can never decide which I like most when she takes pictures! She also took a few of them and made them look old fashioned which I think looks so cool!
While she had her camera out she took a few of Geoff and I since we forgot to do that while we were there in October taking family pictures. I forgot to even ask her! So, I put a bunch of those on here too.
Thanks Michelle! We sure love seeing you and your family and always love your pictures!! :)
