Cali's 1 year stats

Cali had her 12 month appointment yesterday and she is doing excellent!

Height: 29.75 inches

Weight: 19 pounds

We already put her in her new car seat and then found out she is 19 pounds (she needs to be 20). The doctor said it wasn't a big deal and really, what are the cops gonna do... pull out a scale and weigh her? :) Plus, I can't imagine Cali letting us turn her back around after getting to sit facing forward. She thinks it's awesome!! So, we're leaving it the way it is.

She is walking all over the place now and loves it! She just started standing up without help because she does it the hard way for some reason. She doesn't use her hands at all when she stands up. She goes up on one knee (like she proposing) and then lifts herself up to standing. Interesting. :) We love watching her do all this fun stuff!

Presents for Cali...

Lisa & Wade had some presents for Cali! She wasn't interested in it until we rustled the paper and showed her how fun it was. She LOVES both presents! One of them is her very 1st doll which is perfect for her and the other is a little toy camera that talks and sings. It's so cute. Aedan loves to play with that one too. :)

BBQ fun!!

We went to a bbq last Friday night and I never posted the pictures because Cali's birthday was way more exciting! :) So, I just took some pictures of the kids at the bbq and thought I'd post them. Cali was just walking around all over the place. Still a few steps at a time but doing great! Geoff played some basketball with Aedan (they had a huge backyard with a basketball hoop).

Cali's dress & more...

The weather has been so awesome lately! I got some tights for Cali the other day because the cold weather is coming fast so I decided to have her wear some today to make sure they fit. They do and tights on little girls is so cute! Aedan was also looking cute this morning after a little hair cut Geoff gave him. I got some cute smiles out of him.

Cali's (unofficial) photo shoot...

So, we took Cali to the park for a little photo shoot. Vegas isn't the best place to find outdoor photo ops but Geoff found a park with some options so we stopped there and tried it out. She was so mellow most of the time which made it a little easier but my auto-focus was acting up a little so that made it a little harder. :) It was fun (and a little exhausting!) trying though. Her official photo shoot will be taken by my super talented friend Michelle next weekend so you'll see those soon.

Her little tank top was sticking out (grrr) but that's my fault for not noticing and fixing it. Here they are:

Geoff saw this tree so he lifted up the kids for some pictures. The wind was blowing and I laughed at her hair. Made me think of the movie Titanic. :)

Since Aedan was there I took some pictures of him. The 1st one is of him doing his new thing where he says "Ta Da! Super Aedan!" after he jumps or something. The rest are of him in the tree. He was so busy talking about being in the tree that he wouldn't smile for me. Oh well. :)

Cali's Big Day!!

Yesterday was Cali's 1st birthday!! It flew by so fast it didn't quite seem real but we are so excited! It was such a fun day and by the end we were all exhausted. Here is her day...

Birthday Lunch!

We went to Applebees for lunch. Cali tried a lemon for the 1st time and I missed her 1st reaction to it since she turned her head but I got these ones (the last one makes me laugh)...

The Applebees waiters sang "Happy Birthday" to her and said she must be the youngest birthday they've celebrated. :) I totally forgot bibs so we put sweaters on the kids. I didn't want Cali's outfit getting all messy. She LOVED her sunday and Aedan loved the big ice cream cookie sunday thing we got...

The Park!

We went to the park so the kids could play and I also wanted to do an unofficial photo shoot of Cali for her birthday just to see how they turned out (I'll post those seperately). The kids had fun swinging and playing...

Birthday Party!!

For Cali's "Party" Nick, Amy & Hailey came over. Amy made yummy ravioli's and brought them and we had cupcakes for Cali's birthday. By the time we got around to cupcakes it was past her bedtime and she was already tired for her long day so she was super mellow during the celebration. :) Amy got birthday hats and put little curly ribbons on them and they were so cute!
