They sure do look like little angels when they are asleep. So sweet and innocent. Too bad he'd wake up if I covered him in millions of kisses...

LEGOS
Aedan got a set of legos for Christmas that makes a fire truck and a 4 wheeler. He was so excited to build them but with all the tiny little pieces he wasn't allowed to do it by himself. Geoff made it a Daddy & Aedan project and they both had fun putting it together. Aedan actually did a lot of the work too. He was super excited when they were all finished!

PARTY TIME!
We started potty training Aedan almost a year ago. I've done a few posts about it along the way. Once he started peeing he was a pro! He does great and rarely has an accident. As far as pooping goes... he just won't do it! We've tried everything! We've bribed him with anything we could think of and he just won't do it! He has done it once or twice and each time we think "This is it! Now he'll start doing it all the time!" NOPE!!
So, Geoff and I have been really working on it. We're sick of him pooping in his undies or pull up! GRRRR!!!! Geoff has been telling him that if he poops on the potty we'll throw a big party with cupcakes and treats and stuff. I've been telling him that if he wants to go to school next year (preschool) that he needs poop on the potty every day. Both of those things seemed to get him excited again but every day it was the same thing. I started throwing away any undies he pooped in (so tired of cleaning them!) and he only had a few left.
So... he got new undies for Christmas from Santa. We made a big deal about it and said "You CANNOT poop in these undies because Santa gave them to you and if you do we'll have to throw them away and give the rest back to Santa!" He took it pretty seriously but the last few days he was wearing a pull up when he pooped.
Yesterday he was wearing his undies and he had to potty.
He looked over at me and said "Do I need to poop?"
I said "I don't know. Do you?"
He said "Is my poop coming out?"
I said "I don't know. Is it? Let's run to the potty and see!"
So, we went to the bathroom and he sat there... and sat there... and sat there....
I read him 10 books and still nothing so he went to go play and I kept the undies off since I knew it would be any minute. He was back in the bathroom a few minutes later and Maegan went with him to read some more books. Then she went to go help Mom and he was in there by himself and all of a sudden.... he did it!
So... we had a party last night with cupcakes (I made some really quick) and treats (left over from Christmas). He was very excited and we made a big deal out of it.
Then Geoff played with them for a while because Aedan wanted to play Monsters (one of us is the monster and chases the others around). Daddy's make the best monsters!! Geoff catches someone and then everyone else has to save them and then everyone runs away. They scream and laugh and have the best time.
We are really hoping that this time is different and he keeps using the potty. We'll see...

SNUG AS A BUG IN A RUG
Yesterday I went in the kids room during nap time. Cali was curled up with her bum in the air in a little ball. She looked so cuddly and comfy and cute snuggling her blanky.

PAPA'S SHIRT
You might remember that last March my Papa passed away. My Grandma gave Kevin some of his shirts and his jacket since they are the same size. Kevin looks so cute in Papa's shirts and it's kinda weird that the shirts are actually in style right now. Who knew?
Well, when Tammy was here for Thanksgiving she saw Kev wearing the shirts and was like "hey... I want a shirt too!" Some might think it's morbid or something but Papa was so special to us and she really wanted one to remember him and I decided I did too. So, when we went to visit Grandma we asked if we could have a shirt too. She took us into their room where some shirts were hanging neatly in the closet. She'd given most of them away but there were a few left on the hanger with the plastic bag still over it from the dry cleaners. His boots were still sitting on the closet floor like they were waiting for him. It was so sad! Grandma let us pick out a shirt and take it home. So, I told Geoff that he could wear it if he wanted too since he happens to be a medium too. Yesterday he wore the shirt and it was cool to see Geoff wear such a special shirt. Sounds cheesy but it's true. I really loved my Papa so it's nice too see the shirt passed from one amazing man to another. :)

BIG BOY AEDAN
This Sunday was a big day for Aedan! He went from Nursery to Sunbeams! In Nursery it's all about playing, coloring and snack time but he is now in Primary where he is in the Sunbeams class with a teacher and a lesson each week (probably about 5 minutes long). Then they go in with the other kids to sing songs and stuff. He was excited because Maegan is there for that and he got to see her. She said that he said hi and waved (loudly) which I think is totally cute. :)
He wore his outfit that he got from Grandma for Christmas and looked so handsome. Cali wore a new Christmas outfit too and looked super cute.
When I went to go get Aedan he was excited about his new class and he was wearing a crown that they made so I took a picture of him wearing it. It says "I am a child of God". He also colored a paper so it looks like he'll still get to do that. This kid is growing up way to fast!!

SOCK DRAWER
Cali has been getting into her sock drawer lately. It has socks, tights, beanies, gloves, and all kinds of stuff in there. So, she's been putting everything on and having tons of fun! She comes in to show me all her different stuff and usually I don't have my camera on me but since I was taking pictures of Aedan making lemonade I had mine when she came in trying to put on her bunny beanie. She thinks she's so funny!

Well, I have no pictures from New Years. I know... shocker! We just stayed home and watched movies and played games. It was relaxing and a pj night. I intended to take pictures but forgot. The kids slept anyways so really... what else do I take pictures of?? :)
