FARM ANIMAL

So, remember Aedan's CUTE zebra he made for school?? It was a big hit! Last weekends homework was to make a FARM animal out of whatever we had laying around the house. Who knew we'd have so much homework in preschool? We seriously have something (usually something small) every weekend.
We decided to do something different this time. Aedan said he wanted to make a cow. I had a bunch of felt in different colors so we decided to make a farm with a cow on it out of felt. We were at my parents house watching the Super Bowl yesterday so I just brought my bag of stuff and Geoff and Aedan worked on the farm while we were there. I think it turned out pretty cute!

REAL QUICK

So, here are the kids this Sunday. Cali's skirt is super cute but I didn't really get a good picture of it. Oh well. They had fun posing for a few quick pictures...

VISITING LIESL & IAN

After the shower we went over to Liesl & Ian's house for a bit. We hadn't seen it yet so we got the tour and then hung out for a little while. While we were there the kids had fun...

Aedan had an "accident" while there. He ran to the bathroom but couldn't find the light! So, he didn't get his pants down in time to go potty and got his pants, undies, ect all wet! He was pretty upset about it (Aedan doesn't have accidents anymore... usually). I didn't have any extra pants or anything so Geoff found something from the car and with some of Liesl's safety pins he made Aedan a little toga type thing. Aedan thought it was pretty cool. He was jumping around doing all kinds of karate moves...

ALLIE'S BABY SHOWER

Lisa and I have this awesome friend Shaun (we've known him FOREVER... Lisa even longer!) who ended up marrying our old roommate Allie. So, it's kinda fun to have 2 friends married to each other. Anyway... they are having a baby!! Allie is due 2 weeks before me and is also having a girl... how cool is that? So, they had a baby shower Saturday. There was a delicious lunch, some games, yummy cake and they got some great gifts. It was a pretty fun shower and since they did one with guys and kids invited we all got to go. When I went out to the car the kids were "driving" the golf cart things. I'm sure that's not allowed but it was only for a minute and they were entertained. :)

MOMMY'S BATH

Last week I had a crazy night of food poisoning. It was pretty horrible since I have a big baby belly and all. I spent the whole next day in bed recovering. Geoff and the kids were great! The next day my chest and tummy was SO SORE so I decided to take a bath. Apparently I don't do this very often because Cali came in and seemed a little confused that Mommy was sitting in the bath. She said, "Mommy, what are you doing?" and I said, "I'm taking a bath!" so she thought about that for a minute and then picked up her Ariel bath barbie and said "Here Mommy. You can play with my Ariel." so I said "Oh, thank you!" and she handed me a few others, "and you can play with this duck and this frog and fish..." Isn't that sweet?

So, I had a few friends in my bath with me...

She went to play for a few minutes and then came back in. She rolled up her sleeves, knelt by the tub and said "ok, it's time to wash you!" and proceeded to get her body wash/shampoo. I said "oh that's ok, I don't need to be washed" which she thought was odd. Why else would I be in the bath right? So, she grabbed the cup that we rinse her with, filled it up and went to dump it on my head (to wash my hair). I caught her just in time and told her I didn't need to wash my hair. So, She just dumped some water on my arms and stuff. I figured I could at least let her do that. It was so cute! She was doing all the same stuff that we (usually Geoff) do when she takes a bath.

UTAH TRIP

This last weekend we took a quick trip to Utah. Remember my post about going to Twentynine Palms and saying goodbye to Geoff's parents for the last time in 2 years? Just kidding! They had a little get together in Utah on Sunday at Geoff's brother's house and we decided to go. We drove up on Saturday stopping in Las Vegas to see my bff Lisa, then in Provo to see my lil sister Tammy and then finally arriving in Salt Lake around 10. It was not a fun drive for me (being so pregnant) but it was fun getting to Michelle's house (she's one of my favorite people).

At Tammy's house there was snow in the yard and the kids got super excited. It was more ice than snow so they couldn't really play in it (plus their gloves were in their suit case). Cali wanted a picture though...

Sunday morning we got up and went to church with Michelle. I brought Cali's sweater dress (I know! She's actually wearing a dress twice!) because it's warm and I knew it would be cold. I had her take a few pictures really quick since I didn't last time. She can be quite the cheese ball sometimes. :)

Aedan wanted some pictures too. He was dancing around more than posing. :)

On Sunday night we drove over to the get together and got to see some of Geoff's family that we don't see very often. We had some yummy grub and got to chit chat a bit while the kids ran around with all their cousins. Cali has 2 cousins her age who she got to play with. She was shy about it at first (she doesn't know them very well yet) but then she went over and played.

We took the pictures I wanted to but totally forgot to take the last time we said goodbye. Aedan & Cali with Grandpa & Grandma...

Monday morning we went to The Original Pancake House (YUM!!) with Michelle and Stella. I think it's becoming our tradition . :) The kids found a patch of snow (aka ice) outside and were playing on it. When Michelle and I came out Stella told us "Aedan's Daddy fell and it was hilarious!" which made us laugh. He slipped on the ice and fell on his bum (ouch!). Too bad we weren't there with the camera (hee hee). We did get some pictures of the kids with the snow though. They are such little buddies...

On our way home we stopped in Provo to see Kevin for a few minutes. The kids love playing with him! I tried to get them to smile for the camera but they were too busy being silly...

A funny moment that happened on the way home. We stopped for a potty break (there were quite a few of those) and when I came back out to the car with Cali Aedan was in the driver's seat "driving". He was pretending to be Daddy and driving the car. So, Geoff hopped in the backseat and was Aedan. Aedan cracked up like it was the funniest thing to see Daddy in his seat. I admit, I laughed too.
