CHRISTMAS EVE

On Christmas Eve we went to see my Grandma since we couldn't make it over on Christmas day. She gave the kids a gift card and a stuffed animal. They had a great time visiting her.

Grandma opening her present from us:

I gave one of my new craft ideas to my Grandma for Christmas and this is the only picture I got of it. It's a magnetic picture holder that you hang on the wall...

The kids with their animals:

I took a picture with my Grandma (and Cali):

My Mom had a Christmas Eve party for Bill's family so after we left my Grandmas we went straight to that. They play a relay type game when the kids open presents. The 1st kid starts it out by giving the gift they brought to it's recipient who opens it and then gives the gift they brought to it's recipient and so on until everyone has opened their presents. Cali started it out this year since she's the youngest. Then it turned out that she was the last one to get her gift. She sat there so patiently waiting for her turn. So did Aedan.

Cali waiting so patiently...

NEW HOBBIES

So lately I've been feeling slightly crafty. My Mom and I went to a craft fair a while ago and I saw a bunch of stuff way over priced that made me think "I could totally make that myself!" I, of course, had no idea if I could actually make any of the stuff but I thought I'd try. There are only a few of them that I've tried to make since but I think I've done pretty good.
So, it's hard to explain what most of them are and I gave them away as presents without taking pictures so I'll have to take some of the next ones I make. :)
My friend Christy mentioned some fabric headbands in a post recently and how cute they are. I wondered if I could make some for her for Christmas but I had never sewn anything before. I searched online for some ideas and my Mom gave me a quick lesson on how to sew a straight line. I made some headbands that I am actually pretty proud of! I mentioned them in a recent post where Cali and I wore some I made for Christmas but I took a picture of the ones I made for Christy before I gave them to her. They aren't as cute just laying there but at least I have a picture. I am planning on making more and learning how to sew so I can make more stuff!

TINKER BELL

Last month Cali got a Tinker Bell dress as an early Christmas present and yesterday she got her shoes! She was very excited so today we put everything on (it was all way too big so I pinned it up a bit) and she "flew" around like a little fairy! I tried to get a little Tinker Bell sassiness out of her but she wasn't in the mood. She took being Tinker Bell very seriously. Maybe next time. :)

CHRISTMAS PARTY

We went to the Christmas Party for Geoff's work. The whole family was invited which was fun and they even had a stocking of goodies for each kid! Geoff works for some really great people who are so nice and they LOVE our kids! :)

The kids had icee's for the fist time and LOVED it!

Playing with their stockings:

MALL FUN

While we were at the mall Grandma got enough train tickets so the kids could ride it 3 times. They were so excited (especially Aedan) and ran to hop on! Aedan went straight for the front and got to "drive" the train. The kids had a great time!

Then we headed over to their play area which was absolute CRAZINESS! There were kids all over the place and I was surprised when we left with no major injuries. They had tons of fun!

Aedan got up and started directing traffic:

Chillin...

All 3 of them in the boat.
Cali was singing "Row, Row, Row your boat!"

Visiting Santa 2010

We headed over the Westminster Mall to see Santa and do some shopping. By the time we got to Santa it was WAY past nap time and even though the kids were still doing pretty well I think it had it's affect on Cali. She did NOT want to sit on Santa's lap.

We took some pictures in front of the tree while we waited:

A SPECIAL VISIT...

From Grandpa & Grandma Douglas! They came to see us Monday night and had some gifts for the kids. They were pretty excited to open some presents and see what they were.

Aedan's first baseball glove!!
(it came with a soft baseball... smart!)

This dinosaur bowling set is adorable!

Aedan was opening the umbrellas and having everyone hold one (yes... inside the house) so the rain wouldn't get them. I looked over and saw Geoff holding his umbrella while working on his laptop. It struck me as funny.
