Coloring

The kids have been coloring on EVERYTHING!! We've taken all crayons, markers and anything else they could think of and hidden them but they still manage to find one somewhere and draw. So, while Geoff was at Costco recently he found these HUGE color/activity books for kids. They had a CARS one and a Disney Princess one so he one of each so the kids could have something big to color on. They are 3+ so it's a little advanced for Cali but she doesn't care. The other day Cali wanted to color so I got out her book and layed it on their little table so she could color while she ate her lunch. She went to town with the crayons. I haven't gotten any picture of Aedan with his yet.

BBQ

On Saturday before my Grandparents left we had a bbq and went swimming. We all brought yummy food and my Grandpa made his yummy potato salad that we all love plus an extra fruit salad that was super yummy! It was really fun and the kids had a blast hanging out in the pool and with Grandpa and Laurie.

I thought Cali's little outfit was so cute! :)

Grandpa blew bubbles for the kids and Cali got excited and tried to pop them...

Before they left, we got a picture of Grandpa & Laurie with all their Granddaughters (and Cali). It was such a fun weekend with them and we were so glad they came to see us.

Puppet Show

On Friday my Mom and everyone else was in town to see my Grandparents. Grandpa treated us all to dinner and then we went back to Jennifer's house. When we were kids we were huge fans of the puppet shows that my Grandparents would put on. They have some amazing puppets and brought a few with them so we could have a puppet show! We were so excited and the kids loved it! Cali kept reaching up trying to grab the puppets. It was so cute. Aedan was excited to hold a puppet and help with the show. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more... the kids or me?

At dinner Grandpa went and got these silly glasses for him and another pair for Maegan. Grandpa let Aedan wear his glasses for a minute too.

The Puppet Show!!

I can't remember the 1st two songs they did but all the finger puppets were so cute!! Aren't the puppets great?

The next song was Alvin and the chipmunks...

The last song was "Thumbelina" and they made their adorable Thumbelina puppet.

Thanks for the puppet show Grandpa & Laurie! It was so fun!

Grandpa & Laurie come to visit!!

My grandparents came to visit us! They flew in on Thursday so I picked them up and took them to my sister's house. My sister and I got to talk to Laurie and the kids had so much fun with Grandpa. He loves to play with the kids... he is a big kid himself so it's pretty fun to watch.

He hid their toys and shoes under his sweater for them to find....

He was pretty cool when the kids played with their swords and guns around him (they even got him a few times... ouch!). Aedan posed with his toy of course...

He tickled Cali which made her laugh hysterically and he also read her a book. She loved it...

He pushed Cali around... I am not sure where he gets so much energy!! :)

They both played cars with the kids. They got out some of their finger puppets and had them drive the cars around. The kids thought it was funny.
