The next Mike Tyson

Aedan love playing the Wii with us and we can't help but crack up when he "boxes" with us. We make a big deal out of it and cheer him on and he just loves to swing those controls around. Here's a video of it (please ignore the mess... typical Saturday morning).

Fun with Ian & Liesl!!

On Sunday when we got home from Utah, our friends Ian & Liesl visited us from out of town! It was so fun to see them! Liesl had fun playing with Cali and Ian was such a trooper playing with Aedan for a while. Aedan wanted to be pushed around in his car which can be tiring! Geoff joined in and it was pretty funny!

Liesl & Cali:

Ian playing with Aedan:

They almost ran into Geoff so he jumped onto the trampoline:

Then Geoff & Ian were pushing Aedan back and forth and
jumping over the car. Aedan thought it was pretty cool.

We had a great time with them! It's so sad that we live so far away.

Alexis's birthday!

Aedan's cousin Alexis is exactly 3 months younger than him and she turned 2 on Saturday. We went to Utah for her party and to hang out for a few days. Here are some pictures of her party:

The Birthday Girl:
We had YUMMY pizza!!

Then we had yummy birthday cupcakes!

My cupcake was PINK!!

Aedan showing me his cupcake:

There were little rings on the top of the cupcakes and somehow Aedan got ahold of a few of them and put them on his fingers:

Grandpa playing with Aedan. He would tap a beat on the table and then Aedan would copy him:

The Park

While we were in Utah we went to the park and Aedan had fun playing with Maegan.

His first time on a big kid swing. He was a little nervous but did great! :)

Static Hair!! Maegan & Aedan both had some static after the slides:

Then I got some of Cali hanging out at my sister's house:

Cali is crawling all over the place now:

The Wizard of Oz

So, last Wednesday my parents, Grandma and 2 little sisters came to Vegas for the start of our little vacation. It started by going to see The Wizard of Oz! My bff Lisa, nephew, brother-in-law, and older sister were all in the production done in the Summerlin area. It was really good and the costumes were fantastic! I took some pictures with my camera, all with the flash off of course, so they turned out a little blurry but I decided to post some anyways...

My favorite main character was the Lion. He was so awesome!!

Here is my nephew Brenden. He was a "Lollipop Guild" Munchkin, and a Flying Monkey. He was so fun to watch!

Brenden is the one with the brown pants and orange hat

Brenden is the last monkey on the right (my older sister is the witch)

Here's Lisa! She was a Winkie, a Ozian and a Jitter Bug. She danced and sang and was fantastic! :)
Lisa is the one right in the middle pretty much.

Lisa is the 3rd Winkie from the right

My sister was the Wicked Witch of the West:

My brother-in-law Nick was a Crow, an Ozian, a Winkie, a sweeper, and a Jitter Bug. He was so awesome and entertaining. I never knew he was so talented! :)

Here is Lisa and I after the play. I was hoping she'd come out in her costume but she didn't. She was wearing her Wizard of Oz shirt though...

Brushing...

Cali has decided that now that she has teeth, she needs to brush them...

She found one of our extra tooth brushes that Aedan had found earlier and started "brushing" her teeth. It probably feels pretty good since her top teeth are coming in now.

Father's Day

We would like to announce that we've joined the Wii club! Geoff and I both are NOT video game people. We never found the need for them and never thought we'd own anything like it. My parents got a Wii for Christmas and my bff and her hubby got one as a wedding present so we've been playing it off and on. We've decided we like it because it's more active and not just a game where you sit on the couch and zone out. Geoff has played a lot of Wii sports and really enjoys it. So, I decided that since he works so hard all the time he needed something to do to have some fun! So, here he is with his new Wii:

(he also got those cool shorts!)

Here is how Aedan feels about the Wii:

Aedan LOVES to play with us so we usually just give him an extra one and he "plays" right along with us very enthusiastically! It's so funny. I'll have to get some pictures of it later.

flowers vs. barrettes

So, I know it's totally obvious but I LOVE doing Cali's hair! She doesn't have much hair yet but I do whatever I can with it. :) I found these teeny tiny barrettes the other day and put one in her hair and it actually stayed! I was so excited and now have the dilemma of whether to put a flower or a barrette in her hair.

This is the 1st barrette I put in her hair.

At Nana's funeral she wore a big flower and then I had her wear the dress again on Sunday (yep, she actually wore a dress twice!!) but put a little barrette in instead. I love them both!  Oh, and this is also her dress of the week. I absolutely adore the shoes she's wearing!

Remembering Nana

We went to California for the weekend and Friday was Nana's funeral. We just did a grave site service and it was perfect. Here are my favorite pictures from it...

Geoff had the program in his hand and Cali took it and was looking at Nana with a smile:

My little sister wanted to sing the song "I often go walking" which is about Mothers but she changed "Mother" to "Nana". It was very sweet. She then laid her flowers on the casket:

Grandpa made sure Aedan put a flower on the casket. I just barely caught the picture:

We got to see my little brother Curtis which was cool. We don't see him very often, in fact he had never met Cali until that day so I was excited for her to meet her Uncle Curtis. Aedan thought it was cool to see him too:
