MEMORIAL DAY 2014

We decided to have a Disney day for Memorial Day this year since last year it wasn't busy. This year it totally was and it was pretty hot!! We still stayed for a few hours and went on some rides. We had a great time!

We had to stop at their Frozen summer display they have of Olaf made out of sand. It's pretty cool and the kids were super excited about it!

Em patiently waiting in line...

and waiting for Aedan & Cali to go on Soarin...

Em and I spent some time in Bugs Land...

Everyone else joined us after CARS LAND...

We had to ride Small World while we were there...

She was pretty tired!!

Since it was such a HOT sunny day we stopped for some Thrifty's on our way home...

When we got home it was nap time for Em. She was so tired and excited for her nap that she jumped onto her bed to land on her pillow but instead hit the headboard. She sliced her eyebrow right open. I heard screaming and then when Geoff brought her out there was sooooo much blood!! We got her cleaned up and changed her clothes and then I took some pictures before we bandaged her up and ran to the ER. She was so good the whole time. She let the nurses swaddle her up so she couldn't move while they stitched her. She did cry during the stitches but they only took a few minutes and then she was all done and happy again. I'll spare you the close up picture that shows her eyebrow handing down (so gross) but you'll get the idea with these...

after we got her all cleaned up...

waiting for the surgeon...

after she got her 6 stitches!!

The next morning she was bruised and swollen. I tried to get a good picture of it but you couldn't really see the purple. Over the next few days it got darker. She left her stitches alone and was such a trooper.

WORK PARTY

Geoff's work has lunches for holidays in their warehouse. They usually play some party games and have raffles. It's pretty fun and we love to go. For Memorial Day they had a party so we headed over. Geoff played some games and they had a piñata and they let the kids hit it a bunch. It was pretty fun! I took so many pictures that I had to give the party it's own post!

Em helped me make cupcakes for the party...

Geoff pushed the kids around on a chair to entertain them...

Piñata time!

Geoff took the fish parts from the piñata and turned into a fish...

GEOFF'S BIRTHDAY PARTY

We had a little get together for Geoff's birthday (a few weeks later). We had some friends come over and the kids played outside in the water and we had lunch and some cake. Em's friend Riley was there and they played outside and had a blast together. The adults played some games. I didn't get many pictures but these are the ones I did get...

FATHER/SON CAMPOUT

Geoff took Aedan to the church's annual father/son campout. Aedan always gets so excited to spend the night in a tent with his Daddy. Here are a few pictures that Geoff took while they were there...

MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND

For Mother's Day we had brunch on Saturday and did some shopping with my parents, Maegan and Grandee. When we got home, Geoff and the kids went out and brought home a bunch of flowers to plant for Mother's Day. They spent the afternoon planting them together and then Cali let it slip that they had gotten me an iPad mini so I got that Saturday night instead of Sunday. ;) We got it all set up and I was excited to start reading on it. I prefer actual books personally but it's easy and convenient on a iPad (or kindle and all the stuff out there). It's also nice for church since it has everything you need (scriptures, hymns, lessons ect). My favorite things though were all the things the kids made for me at school. I love them!!
On Sunday we went to my Mom's house and the men (aka Geoff & my step-dad) made dinner and dessert for all of us. It was delicious!!!
Here are some pictures from the weekend....
