The Amazing Race

Aedan and Cali got to spend the weekend with their friend Stella! They had so much fun! Stella loves to race down the hallway in their basement to her Mommy. It's pretty dang cute and it was it was so fun when Aedan and Cali joined her. They'd start at the wall and then run as fast as their little legs could to Michelle... over and over again.

Cute do

I've been finding some really cute hairstyles online lately. The problem is that Cali doesn't have enough hair or it's not long enough for most of them. I found a few that I can do and have been experimenting lately. I've been surprised at how much Cali lets me play with it and how good she sits (as long as she's watching something or playing games on my phone). Yesterday I did her hair and it turned out really cute. I totally got the idea online so it's not mine but I think I did a pretty good job. I might need to go buy some ribbons. :)

Is it fall??

Geoff and the kids went with me on my morning walk the other day. It was a little chilly so we put some warm clothes on the kids. Aedan has been putting on this one tie lately and when it was time to leave he wanted to wear his tie. I laughed so hard seeing him in his stroller with warm clothes and a tie on. I didn't get a picture until after we got back. He was anti-pictures that's why he has this look on his face...

Cali has had this Tinker Bell sweater for a long time (possibly before she was born). I was so excited to put it on her since she's my favorite character and all. Cali loves Tinker Bell also (I've rubbed off on her) so she got pretty excited. She said "Binker Bell" over and over again.

So, I just thought Cali looked cute in this adorable little outfit . It was fun to get out a few winter type clothes this week. The weather is cooling down and I think fall is on it's way!!

Um... Lois?

Earlier today Aedan walked up to me with Geoff's glasses on and said, "Um Lois... I need to tell you something." I was cracking up! Geoff had sent him over and told him to say that. Then I had to bribe him with chocolate to stand there and do it again for me so I could take a picture. Once he saw the camera he got shy. :)
Now all he needs is dark hair and a white button up shirt (and probably some pants). :)

Carrie Underwood!

Last night I went with my friend Stephanie to go see Carrie Underwood at the Hollywood Bowl. It was an amazing concert! Sons of Sylvia (who I'd never heard of but are pretty cool) and Billy Currington (who is awesome!) opened for her. Carrie had some fantastic outfits and sang all of my favorites of hers. She has some serious talent! She sang the song "I told you so..." that she did as a duet with Randy Travis. When it came time for his part he actually walked out on the stage and sang it with her! It was so awesome!! She also had Orianthi there to play guitar during one of her songs which was cool.
When we got there we got a flyer saying what was/wasn't allowed inside. It said cameras were not allowed so I was a good girl and left my camera in the car (after having someone take a picture of us). Then they didn't even really look very carefully in my bag so I totally could have brought it in!! I was totally bummed! All I had was my iphone so I took a few pictures of the end finale because she had fireworks and it was pretty cool.
Stephanie and I had a great time and it was great to have a girls night! :)

Aedan's haircut

After quite a few votes on here and facebook where the curls won (only by 1 or 2), we decided to keep the length but trim up the sides and back. So, I took Aedan for a haircut yesterday and told the hairdresser what I wanted. She ended up cutting it pretty short (why do they bother to listen to what you want when they do their own thing anyways??). Luckily Aedan is a total cutie and looks adorable either way. I'm totally ok with the cut and think it'll be great for pictures next weekend. Plus... his hair grows fast and we'll have those curls back soon. :)

Strong Aedan

We were at Target like 2 weeks ago and Aedan saw some little watermelons. He thought they were pretty cool because they were just his size. He picked one up and said "I'm strong Aedan Mommy!"
I took this on my iphone to send to Geoff and then just saw it on there again today so I thought I'd share. :)

Old Friends

Last night I got to see my friend Carrie that I haven't seen in YEARS! She's in town going to Disneyland and all the fun California stuff. At church we did a service project last night for a woman's shelter so her and her mom came by to say hi to everyone there. So, we got to catch up and talk for a while. It was so fun to see her!!

Aedan's Alphabet

Aedan has been curious about letters lately and Geoff and I have shown him how to write them a few times. The other day he was drawing on his sketch board thing and showed me this:

He had written the letter A all by himself! I thought it was pretty good. He drew a few more letters too which I thought were excellent.

I really LOVE his E. It's so cute the the line is so long and then the 3 lines coming out are small.

It's getting there...

I love this big silly grin...

Cali was being extra cuddly the other day because she wasn't feeling good. I took the opportunity to play with her hair a little bit. I french braided her hair and while it ended up being kinda loose, I thought it looked pretty cute. Her hair is getting long enough to actually do some fun stuff with. I can't wait! :)
