Mommy Clown

There is a clown nose at Grandma's house and Aedan thinks it's the coolest thing. He put it on my nose and said "Mommy Clown!". So, we went around the room putting on the clown nose. Cali was the only one who wouldn't do it.

P.S. This is what I look like on a regular day... hair thrown back, no make-up and a stained shirt just chillin around the house. :)

Perfect!!

We have all been really enjoying the perfect weather here!! We set up the play thingy in the front yard last night and the kids ran all over the place. Kevin ran around with them and they were screaming with excitement. It was great to be able to all go outside together and not feel like you're going to die from heat stroke or something. :)

I took the kids out this morning too and sat on the grass while they ran around screaming and laughing. They love going outside!!

Aedan found a long stick that he pretended was a sword and then a fishing pole. He found a leaf and said it was a fish so I put the "fish" on the "fishing pole" so he could take a picture with the "fish" that he "caught". He's so imaginative sometimes and it's so funny.

Cats!!

Cali LOVES cats! The last time we visited my parents she started saying "cats! cats!" and would get so excited. Now she sees them in the back yard all the time and every time she very excitedly yells "Cats! Cats!". My Mom opened the back door yesterday so she could feed and pet them and she thought it was the coolest thing. She tried and tried to feed them but they were a little shy. The pretty grey cat was a little more brave and went up to her. My Mom put some food on the floor and it came inside to nibble on it so she got to pet it and everything.

P.S. My Mom is in the middle of remodeling so the backyard has a pile of roof and stuff... just so you know what that is. :)

Reading Stories

Cali loves to bring me books so I can read them to her (actually both kids do this all the time). She also loves to read them to herself. Lately after I read her a book, she will sit and read it to herself. It's pretty cute because I'll hear random words from the actual story as she's reading. This morning she read a book for a while so I took some pictures of it.

This book is super cute by the way. It's called "Llama llama, mad at Mama" by: Anna Dewdney and I recommend it to anyone. Both my kids LOVE this book and it's fun for me too. :)

We've moved!!

After packing for 3 days, loading for 2 days, driving for 4.5 hours and then unloading for 6 hours... we have officially moved to California!! For now most of our stuff is in storage since we are temporarily at my parents house. They are letting us stay with them until we find the perfect place for us. :) We were sad to leave all of our friends in Vegas but are excited to leave the heat and be in California again! When we went outside at 7:30 this morning it was nice and cool and I thought "if we were in Vegas right now it would be at least 90!"

My Mom watched the kids for us while we put everything into our storage unit which was a huge help. Aedan was excited to help move stuff into my parents house that we needed. Grandpa let Aedan go for a ride on the dolly and he thought it was super cool...

Sunday cuties

So, Cali's dress this week was super cute! Aedan and her were reading a book together so I took a picture. When we got to church I realized I hadn't even brushed Aedan's hair! Luckily I had thrown the brush in my diaper bag after brushing Cali's so I brushed it really quick but it was still a mess. I've been a little scatterbrained lately because of our rushed move. :)

Serendipity

So, this has been a couple of crazy last few days!! We decided to move this weekend instead of next weekend because Geoff starts work on Tuesday. I was going to stay here with the kids and pack while Geoff worked but I decided I would go crazy doing all that by myself so we packed up all our stuff super fast, got a truck and loaded it up (we had so much help loading which was awesome!!).

Lisa and I were so sad that we weren't going to have that whole extra week to hang out. We decided to have a bff night and our guys let us go have fun while they watched the kids. So... we went to see a movie and then went to Serendipity for some YUMMY bbq chicken pizza and their Frozen Hot Chocolate. It was super HOT but that dessert sure helped cool us down. :) Then we headed over to the Bellagio to watch the water show. It was really fun! I'll sure miss my Lisa!!

My Bunny

So, in case you haven't heard the news... WE'RE MOVING! Geoff got a job in CA so we decided to move there. He was having no luck here in Vegas and I've wanted to move back to CA ever since I left so this is a dream come true for me. :) We are really sad to leave our friends here and will miss them a ton!

So, we've been trying to plan out our move and start the packing process. It's not fun (of course I don't know anyone who actually enjoys packing up a whole house full of stuff). I was packing up our room today and Cali saw a bunny of mine that I LOVE and she decided she loves it too. This bunny is from my good friend (and one of my favorite people) Michelle so I took some pictures of her loving it just so she could see. It was super cute! Every time I tried to pack it again she's get sad and want me to give it to her again.

Memorial Day...

We had a fun and busy Memorial Day. Geoff's brother was in town so we had some of his family come over for some lunch. The guys played on the Wii and were having so much fun! Then we went over to Lisa & Wade's house for a yummy dinner but the night had to be cut short when Aedan slammed Cali's hand in the door and we had to take her home. She had a big dent in her wrist area which ended up being fine. It's just bruised on both sides now and she hardly notices it. It was pretty crazy though!

A funny moment of the day was when Cali was sticking a bucket over her head and then lifting it up. She thought it was super funny!

Aedan didn't ever take a nap and after everyone left he had a time out where he fell asleep in the middle of crying. He didn't even have time to lay down, he was kneeling on his bed.

Sunday

On Sunday Cali wore a cute little summer dress but wouldn't stand or sit still for any pictures. So... we decided to take them with her so she'd stay in one place. :)
