We had a few fun Easter activities this year. The first one was at Aedan's school. They had an Easter egg hunt. I stuffed a bunch of plastic eggs the night before and then Em and I went to the school to see all the fun. All the kids made their own easter baskets at school. Em was so excited to sit with Aedan run around with the kids. The kids got to hunt for eggs relay style collecting a few eggs each time. Em sat with Aedan between each of his turns and he shared some treats with her. Then they went to have some cookies and juice together with all the 1st graders.
A big group of friends decided to get together at a park close by and do an Easter Egg hunt so we all brought a bunch of candy filled eggs and threw them around while the kids played at the playground. Then we let them run all over finding them. They had a blast with their friends!
That night we dyed our eggs. Geoff's egg kind of exploded while it was boiling but he decided to keep it anyways (gross). Em was totally into it this year and very curious about all the cups of dye and what the heck we were doing with them.
The Easter Bunny came after the kids went to sleep. We asked him to de less candy this year so he put some movies and other goodies in their baskets instead. They did get some candy though, of course. ;) They were so excited to find their baskets in the morning and searched and searched until they found them.
I was pretty excited about the kids Easter outfits this year. Aedan's bow tie had purple to match the girls dresses and Geoff's tie had light blue which matched mine so we were all matchy.
Em's hair was so cute (and she actually kept her flower in!) so I had to get some pictures while she was distracted at church. She was playing animals and making their sounds.
After church we had Aedan stand on a chair so he could get a picture of Geoff and I. We are a little shadowy but at least you can see us. Right? ;)
