FALL CARNIVAL

October 5, Aedan & Cali's school had a fall carnival fundraiser. As parents we were asked to donate a pie for Cali and a cake for Aedan. Everything has to be store bought now which is totally lame! I haven't made many pies but I make a pretty good cake (if I do say so myself. haha) and would much rather donate that than a yucky store bought one. Plus... it's cheaper to make it yourself!
Anyway... they had tons of games, a cake walk, raffles, a couple of bounce obstacle course things and lots of food. The kids had such a great time! They talked about it for days after.

The place that provided the bounce things was "boot camp" themed so they had the kids all do some form of exercise before going in (jumping jacks, push ups, ect). It was pretty cool. Aedan and Cali tried to go in the first one together but it didn't work out that way so Cali went in with another kid. Then the girl in front of her was SUPER scared to go down the slide and it scared Cali so she wouldn't do it. She had to go back out the front. Silly girl! She's my brave one! Aedan totally did it though...

I totally missed Aedan going in because I was trying to talk Cali into going down the slide but I got him coming out. He was so proud of himself for doing it! Can you tell?

Cali went to another one because I told her there was no slide (there really wasn't) and she had a blast in it! She went in over and over again.

Aedan found one that he loved too. His step-cousin Addy wanted him to do a really big slide and I was surprised when he did it. Maybe he was showing off or being brave or something. :) Whatever it was he loved it so the two of them went on it a bunch of times.

Then we went to play some games and eat. Aedan played the football toss game and on his first try it went straight threw the tire! It was awesome! He didn't have much luck on his other 2 throws but he sure tried! :)

We did the cake walk a few times. Cali really wanted to win a cake but none of us did.

The kids ate some pizza, drank some lemonade and they got some cupcakes and popcorn.

6 MONTHS

As of October 4th, Em is 6 months old! This year is flying by which really isn't fair. She's my last baby and I feel like she's growing way too fast. I am enjoying every second of it! She is such an amazing little person. She's happy, smiley and snuggly. She gets so excited when Aedan and/or Cali come talk to her. I can't imagine a better baby. We love watching her grow and learn new things. She is SO close to crawling! I watch her get on her hands and knees and rock back and forth with so much anticipation but then she just lays back down again. Actually she usually shoots herself forward with her knees and it's kinda funny. She rolls and scoots around so fast we're amazed at where she can get in a matter of seconds. If she wants to get to something, she will. When she starts crawling we'll be in trouble! :) Aedan and Cali are learning to keep their toys, papers, ect away from her. It's amazing how much cleaner the living room stays now (hee hee). She eats baby food like a pro now. She gobbles it right up and doesn't let any get anywhere but her mouth... especially prunes! She's a big fan. :)
She had her 6 month appointment on the 4th and got some shots which I think is so sad! Babies have no idea what is going on and then all of a sudden... OUCH! It's probably better that way but it's just so sad to see the surprise on their face right before the tears start coming. :( She did great though and is completely healthy! Her stats:

She's long and has the cutest chubbiest legs I've ever seen!! I took some pictures of her... look how big she's getting!
