1ST FIELD TRIP!

Aedan had his first field trip!! He was so excited just to ride the bus but he also got to go to the Santa Ana Zoo too! It's a small zoo and is mostly monkeys and birds with a few other animals but it is still a fun place to visit. I really wanted to go with him so we kept Cali out of school and her Em and I met the kids at the zoo. When Aedan got off the bus he saw us and started jumping up and down with excitement. I guess he's still young enough that his Mom coming on a field trip is cool. ;)
It was a nice day and the kids had a blast looking at the animals. Em was so good... especially considering she was missing her nap to be there. She just chilled in her stroller and ate some snacks.

They had all the kids sit to listen to the rules and show them some animals before they went to explore...

There was a little playground they got to play on for a few minutes...

Then they all ate their sack lunches...

Cali was sad that she didn't get to sit with Aedan because he was with all his friends already...

I let her out and she pushed her stroller around giggling like it was the funnest thing ever...

The kids played some "duck, duck, goose" before they left on the bus and Cali joined right in. She even got picked!

Aedan was so excited to ride the bus back. Cali was super sad that she didn't get to ride the bus. :(

Em fell asleep so fast and was so tired that she stayed asleep when I got her out to go get Aedan and bring him home...

GREEN THUMB?

I guess we'll see if Cali has a green thumb. She planted her flowers and now they are out getting some sun. Cali loves watering them so as long as she doesn't water them too much, I think they'll live! :)

These girls love to match! Ok... really it's Cali. She gets so excited when they match. They wore matching shirts and capris on this day. I tried to get Em to smile but she was too busy munching on cheez-its that Aedan had brought outside. Stinker! :) I also took some pictures of Em playing outside. There have been lots but she totally loves it and it's fun to watch her.

We went to Home Depot to get some flowers. Cali had been dying to water flowers so we went to get some. The kids each picked out their own thing of flowers and a pot to put it in. I picked Jasmine as mine because I LOVE the smell. We also got some basil and parsley so I could use them in my cooking. It seems like I'm always sending Geoff to the store to get me some nice and fresh but now he won't have to! :) Anyway... while we were there the kids wanted to ride in the fun car cart. Geoff drove them crazily all over the parking lot and then I took over while he put Em in the car. They had a blast.

Our friends Shaun and Allie texted us because they were heading to The Old Spaghetti Factory and wanted to know if we'd meet them there. Of course! The kids had fun and Em and Riley were excited to see each other (at least I like to think so).

I can't be on the computer anymore when Em is awake (one of the reasons my blogging is behind). She loves typing on the keys or looking at the screen. She discovered Aedan's old laptop and now she loves that! She sits and types away on the little keys....

I love watching her walk around and play...
