SANTA 2011

Here are our Santa pictures this year:

THANKSGIVING 2011

This year for Thanksgiving we went to see Nick, Amy & Hailey! They live in AZ now and since Amy is pregnant and ready to pop they weren't going anywhere, so we went to them! It was fun to spend the weekend with them and see their new house. We left Wednesday and came home Sunday so it was a long weekend and the kids really had a great time playing together! Amy (with a little help from Geoff and Nick) made a delicious Thanksgiving dinner! Amy and I got to do a little Black Friday shopping which was great and the weather was great for it! Of course we have a little extra insulation right now so that might have helped. :) On Saturday we went to the mall to see Santa and nobody was there (not for Santa anyways) so that was awesome! Geoff and Nick watched the kids so Amy and I could go have some girl time (aka go watch Breaking Dawn) which was awesome! We were so glad to be able to spend the holiday with them and had such a great time! Thanks to Nick, Amy & Hailey for letting us come visit! :)

Amy made delicious breakfast breads for us and even made the kids their own fancy pumpkin muffins! They mostly licked the cream cheese frosting off. :)

For an afternoon snack Amy put out some fruit and veggie trays and the kids went crazy over that! They sat at the table forever munching on it... even the veggies! The adults enjoyed it too of course. :)

The kids were upstairs in Hailey's room CRACKING UP so I went up with my camera right as they decided to come down. They were at the top of the stairs and when they saw the camera they all started posing and saying cheese. These are my favorites from the whole weekend just because it made me smile...

Aedan has been totally into superheros lately. One of them is Iron Man and he's seen most of the movie (we fast forward through some of it) so he talks about it a lot. He came over with his plate and said "I'm Iron Man!"

Our YUMMY Thanksgiving dinner!!

The kids loved visiting Santa! We also stopped at one of those coin operated merry go round things and went to their play area so the kids could run around for a while and play...

Cali was singing "Row, Row, Row your boat!" and rowing.

Cali realized she was in the coils of a snake. Haha.

We watched the Santa Clause movies and at one point we looked over and Aedan & Hailey were holding hands. It was pretty cute!

The kids wanted to go outside and play in their little fenced area. We told them to put shoes on before they went outside and when I peeked out Aedan was wearing Geoff's shoes and Cali was wearing mine. We got a laugh out of that. :) They loved drawing all over everything with chalk.
I told Cali to smile and she gave me this face!

PICNIC

A few days before we left for Thanksgiving Aedan got the idea in his head to go on a picnic. I'm not sure where it came from but he was dying to go on one. I got out our nifty picnic basket and blanket we got for our wedding (which made Aedan even more excited!) and we packed it with some sandwiches and stuff for a picnic. Grandma & Maegan were able to come too and brought some goodies. It was a pretty nice day for a picnic and we went to the park so the kids could play after.

OUCH!

Today Aedan was walking up the stairs from our garage and fell hitting his mouth on the step. He cut the inside and outside of his mouth and has a little fat lip. Sad!

ANOTHER SUNDAY

Sunday Cali wore a new little outfit so I got some pictures of the kids. I got Cali's skirt for less than $2! It's a typical deal for me but I was still excited. :)

Smiling:

Saying "cheese!!"

BOUNCE HOUSES

My friend Heidi had some pass things to a bounce house place and invited us to come with her. We went to McDonald's for lunch and then headed over to the place. It was pretty much a big place with a bunch of different bounce houses in it. A kids dream come true!! Well, most kids anyways. Mine jumped a little but mostly played with the cars they had (they had bunch of cars like the cozy coupe). Noah (Heidi's little guy) had a blast jumping! :) I only got one picture the hole time we were there and it's of Aedan after he came down a big slide. It was fun to see Heidi and to let the kids run around. Thanks Heidi!! :)

PUMPKIN CARVING 2011

For Halloween we stayed in this year. The kids had gotten to wear their costumes at a few parties and had enough candy so we decided to spend the evening carving pumpkins since we hadn't done that yet. Geoff helped the kids carve their pumpkin. Cali lost interest half way through but Aedan was totally into it.

"Look at all the seeds!"

"What kind of face should we make?"

Carving:

All done!

We set it outside for a while so it could glow at people. We aren't sure how many people actually saw it though because we got NO (that's right ZERO) trick-or-treaters! I guess that happens in apartments sometimes. Now we just have to get rid of all the extra candy. :)
