Geoff went to Santa Clara for a conference last week. He flew out early Monday morning and his conference ended Thursday afternoon. The kids and I drove to pick him up and we were all so excited to see him! We stopped at Denny's for dinner and both kids wanted to sit next to their Daddy since they hadn't seen him in 4 days!
We all got dressed up again last night to go out Trick OR Treating! Everywhere we went, people got so excited to see Blue, Steve & Magenta (they didn't care as much about me). The people handing out candy and the trick or treaters would say "Look at the Blue's Clues family!". At one house they even asked Geoff to "skadoo" (it's from the show) and Geoff totally did the little song & dance. The kids had fun but were exhausted and ready for bed when we got home.
Cali wouldn't wear her Magenta head all night. She still looked cute though and VERY pink. I put pink glitter on her face and then she put glitter on her face so there ended up being a TON of it when she was done...
So, this year Aedan picked his costume! I took him out to look at costumes and he wanted to be Blue from Blue's Clues. So, we found a Magenta costume (Blue's best friend) for Cali and after searching we found Geoff's "Steve" shirt (as mentioned in the other post). The last thing to figure out was what I was going to be. Aedan's costume came with 3 "clues" so I decided to be the clues. I was pretty excited for Halloween after that and was even more excited that Aedan chose such a fun theme!
We went to the Halloween party at church Saturday night. They had some tables so the kids could make their own trick or treat bags, some games with prizes and then it was time to Trunk or Treat! The kids had fun but Geoff and I were completely exhausted from running after them all night.
So, this is going to be a picture overload! Aedan never smiles AND looks at the camera at the same time but when we put that Blue costume on him that was all he did for our pictures at home. I got so many that I had to share them! :)
This year we got a pumpkin for Geoff and one for the kids. Geoff had no time to carve which I am super bummed about because he does such amazing ones! Maybe I'll be able to talk him into doing a late one. :) Cali had no interest in carving but Aedan was all for it... until he saw me scooping the goop out of it. :)
Aedan & Cali LOVE The Backyardigans! It is such a cute show that I enjoy watching it with them. :) They each have their favorite Backyardigan and every time we watch it they grab them and hold it up to their Backyardigan on the tv while they sing the song. It's pretty silly. The other day they wanted a picture with their Backyardigans. They just gave them a squeeze (with their eyes shut).
